joey... thanks for the tip/s re: how to bunny-hop... marunong na ako hndi nga lang ganun kataas pero nakaka hop na!!! hehehehehehe!!!! minsan bababa ulit ako ng manila para naman makasama ulit ako sa inyo!!! ;D ;D ;D

try to preload sa front then bring your body weight sa back whil pulling the front wheel up then pushing the handle bars forward while bending your legs!!!!!

I can manual to almost tucking in position(bike almost vertical and Im on top = see last wmv file posted), but I always loose momentum on top...
kaasar practice lang siguro ...

.... The ankle snap is important. For perfect technique see the vid that I put up of Billy bunnyhopping to the concrete planter. There's a slo-motion version too.
There are actually 3 different techniques one can use to bunnyhop, while all are quite effective two stand out above the rest.
1) Ride at an object and pull the front wheel up so it's higher or almost as high as the object, as the front wheel gets to the object "throw" the rest of the bike up.
This technique is the one most people use, you'll never get much higher than a picnic table with this technique and it's only good for going to both wheels.
2) Ride at an object, as you get closer drop your hips back and down so your butt almost scrapes your seat. As your front tire starts to come up snap yourself straight up and snap the bars to your hips. Then pick the bike up and place it in front of you on the object.
This is the cantilever method and is quite effective, this is the version you see when you watch the Billyhop video. This works best with bikes with longer chainstays and is most effective for shorter riders.
3) Ride at the object and as you get closer you pull the bike back onto the rear wheel. You need to get the rear wheel very high so as to reach your balance point. As this happens you squat very low over the rear wheel as though you were going to manual. When you get to your balance point you leap straight up then pull the bike after you.
This is the most effective method but also the most difficult to learn. If you watch the TRA videos this is the method he uses for his japslaps and his bunnyhops on his Koxx. Now that he's on an echo he does the cantilever style bunnyhops.
The biggest difference between methods 2 and 3 are how high the front end comes when you start the motion and how much you bend your legs. In method two you khave very little leg bend and your front end doesn't have to come up very high before you launch. In method 3 the front end comes up very high and you have a great deal of leg bend.
Methods 2 and 3 are both good for going to rear wheel, method 3 makes it difficult to go to both wheels.

I can manual to almost tucking in position(bike almost vertical and Im on top = see last wmv file posted), but I always loose momentum on top... kaasar practice lang siguro ... patrick, tsk dyan sumakit ang likod ko sa pagpraktis ng move na yan! i feel like spiders are crawling inside my calves ;D di lang ako makatodo ngayun kasi natatakot ako sa braso ko baka mag snap dun sa may injured part nakakadala

to those practicing manuals, wasssssap!!! ;D ;D heheh .. learn how to bail properly guys ..you'll need it coz sh*t happens .. specially when that sh*t happens in high speed .. hihihi .. happens to me all the time .. just learn how to eject from the manual position .. jump off like youre gonna do a superman or sumthn .. hope that helps guys! * sh*t = when you,yea you, pull the bike too much and tend to over stall. have a nice day! im still sick!!!!! waaaah!
