this is my weakness honestly
picture these scenarios on flat muddy terrain - your rr just spins or intermittently bites - your rr wanders (ie slides left/right)
how about off camber? the second scenario will be more on off camber where the rr slides down the slope as you pedal

In my case, since i have semi slicks, i don't have mud specific tires, it's pretty much spinning and body english.
i would switch to my lowest gears possible and spin the pedals. this technique will suck on muddy climbs.

I dont go downhill on a muddy section, better go akay than semplang. I also have experienced going uphill with muddy tires from build up, the rear wheel does slips at times. Well, same goes for me, if there is a walkable path in a muddy flat straight, I'll just akay my bike and walk by it. Not gonna ride on those gooey putik.

BTW, if you're using clipless make sure your pedals have a mud shedding design. Otherwise, if you walk a muddy section, pwedeng dehins ka makaclip in or unclip.
