Sir, would like ask and maybe could get a better understanding of my prob and solutions to it. I have an mtb with alivio series which 1year and 6 months old, I'm using it as my daily transportation ( bike to work ) about 36km daily from Mon to Sat (rain or shine), well maintained from oil and grease, last monday, I'm experiencing chain slipped not sure if chain or cog slipped every time I put pressure on my pedal during those event I'm shifting for higher gear but still slipping... what could be the best solutions sir..
Thanks in advance for all those incoming answer. God Bless and Happy Pedalling.

when was the last time you tuned your drive train? have you checked for any wear and tear of the cogs and chain/chainlinks? try to lift the rear wheel and pedal w/ your hand, then try to shift.. if slipping still happens while there's no any kind of deformities sa cogs or chain then it needs tuning.. bring it to your fave LBS..

have you had your hubs checked? could be a busted bearing or spring that locks the pawls in place. as for the chain, if you don't have a stiff link, it wouldn't slip.
