You have production bikes... then you have custom bikes. It's amazing the detail they put into each bike.

Portland, OREGON February 8-10, 2008 History 101North American Handmade Bicycle Show, started 3 years ago in Houston, Texas, is dedicated to showcasing the talents of individuals around the world whose art form is the bicycle. It aims to be a gathering point — online and in person — for framebuilders and consumers looking for custom-made bikes, for the sharing of ideas and promotion of this industry and its traditions. Sycip bikes is one of the more well known custom frame builders in the US. When you see their bikes, you'll know why.

love the look of the brooks leather grips (on the moots and on the sycip). old school cool. however it's $$$! good match though especially if you have a brooks saddle. www.brooksengland.com/shop/cat_etc.aspx

Sycip bikes is one of the more well known custom frame builders in the US. When you see their bikes, you'll know why. SJ and I talked to Jeremy at Sycip for a while and he was telling us about his visit to the PI last year and his experience riding in "traffic". He was also pretty pscyhed to have you representing the brand in the PI... Very good guy and great builder... It's good to see other flip framebuilders...

Hahaha ;P My commute has one hill and part of riding a fixie is anticipation. So with that one hill and my ever improving "braking" skills, I still don't see any use for even a front brake. If I lived in San Francisco then definitely. Now, let me check if I do have a good insurance, hehe. ;D

shimano xt level 29er wheels "Shimano used the Handmade Show to unveil its 29er wheel. The nine in the graphic is a snake. Snakes eat frogs; if that’s an indication, the competition should look out. The wheels are built on a XT platform with 24 spokes, a 7075-T6 aluminum rim and XT freehub body. The set weighs 1810 grams and will be available in July."
