"Rotor is an innovative pedalling system that eliminates the dead point. The dead point of conventional pedalling is the void that occurs when the pedals are vertically positioned (one at the top and the other at the bottom), which is a moment at which neither leg can transmit any power." (Rotor Cranks USA) www.rotorcranksusa.comYour thoughts bros? IMHO the power transfer problem is traditionally solved using cleats or clips. But this may be the power alternative to those of us who don't want to be attached to their pedals.

Watch the right crank when the left is at 6 o' clock. This was posted a while back. Too expensive. brad Patrick, maybe such is the case with relatively new or limited-market technology. There is always a price drop as critical mass is achieved. (I'm still praying internal gear systems like Rohloff or G-BOXX will someday reach mass market volumes.) The same company also sells Q-rings, their own version of the oval chainrings similar to Biopace and O-symetric as a cheaper alternative to the Rotor Cranks using the same principle. Less improvement though over traditional cranks.

The price on that crank can almost buy you a rohloff.

You're right. But still a lot... $270 difference. I was thinking coz they're both small-market products kasi. But yeah... the Rohloff is infinitely more complicated and German made.
