Excerpt from a lively topic on where their SC rides came from, one riders emailed SC and here's the part of the email claimed from Scott Turner All of the design work and prototyping of frames is done here in Santa Cruz, for tubing and welding production we use vendors, then back to Santa Cruz for inspection, finishing, and assembly before shipping out to dealers and distributors. The Superlight, Bullit, Blur, V10, and upcoming VP-Free frames are made in the USA. (Made in the USA) The Juliana, Roadster and 2003.5-on Chameleon and Heckler frames are partially made in Taiwan, and the final inspection, assembly, finish work, paint, etc. is all done here in Santa Cruz. (Assembled from foreign and domestic parts)

Warlock, That's true.. I heard santa cruz only have only around 20 worker in states. All of the the assymbly were outsource overseas. I found out 2 years ago when my order (Bullit) didn't came after 12 weeks. They LBS and Santa Cruz rep promissed should have it in 3 weeks. That the reason why I purchased the UZZI SL. Boyok, They should but not brad. . The frame were still expensive.

Santa Cruz has been notorious for delivery back log ever since their Tazmon (pre Supelight model) hit the market, as you can see with the number of transfer your frame goes thru, no wonder it took them ages to send. Yep they're still expensive...plan to have Chameleon before but the price here is twice compared in the US crazy!
