XTR or Xt?
kindly please:help on choosing one of this 2 shimano hubs.. 1. planning to replace my existing american classic hubs;always failed to deliver.
2. please list any reviews;advatages and dis-advantages using this center lock hubs... i 3. and comparison to each other;by weight/by durability/servicability/and pricing?
4. Or any other optional hubs available in the market;that will stand and deliver on trails/road/rain?

since upgrading my hubs to '08 XT, i haven't encountered any problem on and off road, and on wet conditions too, it rolls really smooth. you might wanna check out the B&S section, bongjumper is selling a pair of black element hubs, haven't tried it though but it really looks cool...

been checking the same hubs out also... XTR is lighter but have had more freehub issues than XT Centerlock is the way to go. Superior to the 6 bolt system although you may have to get an adapter if you wanted to use a non-Shimano rotor. Servicability is about the same... Very easy to overhaul. However, with the new increased number of engagement points, the freehubs are not backward compatible to earlier model freehubs. Also, check out Hope and DT Swiss hubs... Chris King is excellent as well but you can get a complete XTR wheelset for the price of a CK hubset...
