Finally bought these babies at Extreme. Keywin Mudman Ti pedals from New Zealand, light at 110gms. Full platform feel (width of aircraft grade thermocomposite platform is wider than standard SPDs) & Eggbeater/Candy looks without the weight/price penalty while still being fully adjustable. Disengagement is quite easy. "Cult status" in Australia & New Zealand and used by Cannondale Team Asia and by the Thai MTB team at the last Asian games. Styling is quite plain. No springs & moving parts = lighter pedal and longer cleat wear. A bit of dialling & adjustment initially, then it becomes 2nd nature. A great buy, nevertheless since the Ti spindle has no weight restrictions, Cro Mo spindle version at 140gms. It was almost hard to distinguish between the two so a digital scale had to be used. Funny thing is, to bring back the matte luster of the platform, use shoe polish.
