why do u need a dual crown fork...? It's a question I should have asked myself... I have one but I am so happy w/ my Breakout+.

I'm also not sure that an upgrade from a single crown to a double crown fork is a good idea. Frames are generally designed for one or the other. If you've been riding a frame designed for a double crown, but had to use a single due to financial constraints, then by all means upgrade. Otherwise, think twice. Also worth noting that a fork like the Volcano, with 7.5" of travel, is really designed purely for downhill use, and putting it on a frame designed for a shorter fork will do awful things to the geometry of the finished product.
It's hard to give a meaningful opinion without knowing what sort of frame the fork will go on, and what sort of riding you do.

i have a marz jr.t 03 on my fs and i have a Rockshox tora 06 on my fireball, i prefer to use the single crown for trails, double crown fork are just nice to look at and are designed for downhills, dc forks are too heavy, but if your a downhiller its good to have a dc fork for durability, just make sure your frame can be fitted with a dc fork

thanks for your replies...
poseur - i'd like to go more dh now that's why i am planing to change the fork to dc.
dayuhan / xc707 - im not sure w/my frame if its for dh, its a generic one (probably) bec i bought it at cartimar mor than a year only for 4k (sale). it came w/a dnm coil spring, 6.5 i2i, w/ adj valve and piggy bak, its rear db ready mount is designed for 8" rotor, actually i bore 2 holes lower to fit my 6" rear db. if i'd look at it "ganda tindig" somehow (for me)...
anyway... considering the geometry and design of the frame (w/c should always a must in the first place), i can see that more likely i'll change frame too pala later to make my bike really designed for dh. Now, my next question is how would i know if a certain fs frame is designed for dh? assuming i found a frame that i liked but not sure if its for dh, could u give me some guidelines? thanx again...
