Turbo lite...
I don't know anything about these brand except that they're affordable. I'm considering them for my project (stem, handle bar and seat post).
Any comments?
Amoeba...
They have their own website which one can browse with. I've been using one of their seires for my stem in my former bike and I'm happy with it.
I considering acquiring the Amoeba SCUD (alu + carbon) handle bar. It's light and at 900 pesos I think its cheap.
Any comment on this handle bar?

brahm,
i've been using a amobe scud for 4 months now. its light and cheap for a carbon fiber handle bar. i'm using the slightly bent straight bar version on my NRS and the medium rise version on my shawn h2. works great. light, stiff and looks good too.

turbo lite is pretty good and cheap. i've used them for both my road & mountain bikes. my favorite turbo lite product is their bar ends. most ergonomic ones i've used. another good cheap brand available now is attack racing. it's also cheaper then turbo lite. these are also both local brands manufactured in taiwan so by purchasing these brands you support the local cycling industries.

is scud carbon>?
Am not a carbon fan
But if both were alloy ill still go for turbolite. (Brand reason na lang) I think they are just the same just try weighing them to see actual difference before you buy it.

(Brand reason na lang) I think they are just the same just try weighing them to see actual difference before you buy it. yup, scud indeed is carbon. i've also used a turbo lite handle bar before. and of course, turbo lite stems are the best in terms of price and weight and its my favorite stem as well. stiff, light and affordable. when it comes to alloys, definitely turbolite is the best. light and stiff. even their seatposts are comparable to some carbon fiber brands in terms of weight. especially their 30.9 mm seatpost, its lighter than the 27.?? mm seatpost. and what's good about alloy is you can further reduce the weight buy cutting the excess like the seatpost and ends on your bars. i have mine cut to fit my barest needs. but if were talking about handle bars, try the scuds. stiff, light and dirt cheap for carbon fiber technology. if they were selling this in north america at this low price, it'd be an instant hit. scud handle bars are around 165-170 grams. i think my turbolite handle bar weighed in more or less at 280 grams, and i've already cut the ends to save weight about an inch on both ends. i know amoeba has flunked on some products but so far, this one is their best product IMHO. and hands down, when it comes to strength to weight ratio, nothing beats carbon fiber.

Al 2014 + carbon to be exact, 620mm length, 30mm rise... at 170 gms studded with fairly impressive designs and 850Php its a good deal. I just bought one for my project. I think I'll settle for turbo lite for the stem and seat post.

me too, am currently using turbolite handlebars. quite happy with it it's light, but not comparable to carbon. then again, i'm not a carbon fan, he he he i've also used older models of Amoeba handlebars and stems. they're okay, bang for the buck. although there have been reports from riders that the stems shatter (nababasag). but maybe the new scuds are okay

Me also turbolite.
My stem is on its 3rd year.
The longer it serves me, prouder and more endeared I am using it.

i really like the stuff turbolite produces. i chose it for my bikes' steering system. i got the handlebars and bar ends at paulina's and the stems from ross. i even got a turbolite hand pump. :-) as the name says, they're really light! curahee!

I had used turbolite & amoeba.
Amoeba: loss thread... Turbolite: From time to time I have to re-tighten the head tube clamp, then as time goes by, the clamp was stretching. At least it doesn't crack, but "elastic metal"? Hmmm can't put my trust on it!
Their good cheap alternatives... just be gentle to them & things will be fine.
