I discussed in Jaymz kulot_salot's Leave No Trace Thread that I would like to address the lack of education in the barrios vs throwing of garbage and item decomposition info. My primary target : the locals ...and the secondary target: the visitors on foot or on bikes
We had to act....
so with Gerard tutubing_kalye's design expertise and Jaymz' Filipino prowess
, we put together this signage inspired by a clip at the Oprah magazine Feb 2008 issue:
It will be printed in tarp (no choice here. we needed the visual and value factors inherent in tarp medium). size shall be 6 inches x 12 inches. It will have a plywood backing.
I propose for these signages to be put on the trails @ 2 signages per trail (one at the trailhead and one in the middle of the trail)
Kindly note that these signages shall be collected back and disposed of properly by 2011.
I plan to have about 100 of this tarp design made for distribution to the regular riders of specific trails in Luzon
I welcome text translation versions from our brothers and sisters in Visayas and Mindanao. Pls feel free to use this tarp design in your own dialects for your areas
we hope to get your feedback for this advocacy of ours
