hmm.. sir how can you say that a frame has an "aggressive geometry"? how is frame aggressiveness defined? Coolangot - sir I will try to answer your question ha, pero talagang hula lang to hehehe ... I think the alite 4000's top tube is higher or "less sloped" giving more weight towards the front end of your bike... better for climbing and sprints. The xtc gives you a more relaxed riding posture with a more sloped top tube p.s. I'm referring to the 2003-2004 alite4000 which I have owned before... they might have changed the new models' geometry Mga experts, please correct me if I am wrong

I think the Alite and XTC have basically the same geometry: 71 degree head tube and 73 degree seat tube. Both are XC race bikes, designed for relatively quick steering.
Aesthetics, cost and weight considerations aside, the better one would be the one which fits better.

I cant get a specific frame specs from KHS, this 2 frames may have different riding characteristics depending chain stay length, fork rake, and top tube length. KHS may be lighter but it might be confined to purely XC compared to well butted Giant designed frames. Don, I suggest let the client ride the built up bike first, that way they get to feel what geometry suits them best. Giant XTC geometry

Some of us normally choses the liter one, hmmmm, but i guess this is not the bottom line, as long as the frame is strong, weight is not a big deal.
anyway for me i chose Giant.
