woohoo 1st post on virgin territory Any suggestions for a great place for a vacation where you can swim , bike , run yourself silly ? My recommendation - UPLB - Trantados home turf - cheap accomodations, cheap alcohol - 2 pools to choose from , endless paths to run , barangay roads that will take you to as far as Lucban , Quezon for wholeday rides Laiya , Batangas - see above( minus the cheap stuff ) Subic - hevent tried riding there but it's the home of Team Bike Boutique , end of discussion Boracay - open water heaven - kms of soft sand to run in - eehh...who the @#$% wants to train in Bora , mas masarap tumambay

woohoo! we have our very own thread na! yey!
(back to the topic) - Baler. Lots of cement roads. Lots of fire roads too. Swimming can be 'interesting', though. But why swim when you can surf? - Bataan. Area around Mariveles has great roads. Nice views too. - Terrazas de Punta Fuego. Train for the toughest triathlon in the Philippines here!

Try a high altitude location... Bagio. The higher the better.
I went on a 10 day mtb vacation in the Rocky Mtns last year. Most of the nights we stayed in hotels that had elevation of 8000' to 9000'. The rides we did were from 9000' to 12000'+. When I got back to sea level, my endurance was significantly better. The effect lasted about 10 days. Go live and train in thin air for 2 weeks. It's like getting a natural EPO boost.
