Guys how do you rate the performance of this? (given 5 as highest).

I'm assuming your comparing it against the '04 or '05 XTs(w/c by the way are one in the same). On the following categories:
Price: 5 stars (8-10t peso difference!) Performance: 5 stars (parehas lang yung performance) Weight:4 stars (mas magaang yung xt) Looks: 5 stars (kaparehas ng Hone)
Get it. You won't regret.
But Ultimately, its still not an XT... hehehe... Sa pogi points lang olats yung LX sa XT because it's still categorized below the XT in the hierarchy of gruppo models.

between the 2, you would not feel the difference performance- wise. so if u wanna use your coins for pogi-points then get the XT... if not LX will more than do it.

I have yet to see any difference in terms of performance between the LX05 and the XT. Pricewise of course the LX05 is a whole lot cheaper.
I've used the Lx05 on my Trek Hardtail, the XT on my stumpjumper, and the Hone on my Heckler. They all feel the same....as for weight......never weighed them....why bother?

I am not so much about the weight or the group category, I guess LX is enough to do the job, but better improve our legs & lungs before the parts hehehehhe.
Correct kayo, papogi Vain points in XT only but as rated in MB Action, LX 05 is one of the smoothest performance in shifting.

Yup bernie your right. I must improve our legs and legs first. Right now Im "reviving" my stamina for my upcoming rig Im using my cuz rig to practice and of course shake this fat I got after almost half a year without a bike. I just hope that should I have a job, Sunday would be a rest day or should we call a bike day! .

A newspaper guy here in Manila Southwoods,is always the round champion on road MTB category, he uses mall frames and altus, mall parts, old sunrace rd's parts but still a winnah! A good bike parts maybe is an advantage but is it us that really does the job!

yup you're right. i'm just happy with my lx cranks. just barely 70 grams heavier than the xt but 2K difference in price. oh by the way, weightweenies site says that the weight advantage of the xt over the lx crank is more or less 30 grams ;D

hi guys, (btw im old but new here) I plan to get the LX2005 but not the entire group yet, yung dual shifter, cassette and rear derailler lang... (next nalang ang cranks, hone sana kung kayanin ng budget.)
yun ang pinili ko kasi sabi sa review ng MBAction mas ok daw sa XT & XTR in terms of technology plus i got a great deal.
Pahingi naman ng input ninyo bago ko mabile hehe
