I just broke my AC rear hub for almost 2 years of abused... I was just riding along when suddenly, the engagement pin broke, all the pawls ripped-off and scattered all over the trails... Oooh yeah I remember, that was after a rocky section with small 2 ft drop...tsk...tsk...tsk... I'm replacing it with a new kid on the block...an element XC 100 300gr that is 75gr heavier...

Me too. I used my AC hubs for two years before I broke the rear axle (After countless of bunny hops and small drops). I took it to a machine shop and had it repaired and I was still able to use it until I sold my bike. I never had problems with the bearings.
Here's the clincher: I'm 290 pounds ;D ;D ;D

and....i got word that, if you email am classic directly about any issues with their hubs....they will send you bearings or whatever you need...... for free.... F R E E. i hope Pritch (piperjack) will tell his story
