good day. sirs/maam, i have an old school giant rock 4000 that i have converted to ss, no tensioner, 44-23 gearing. its size is small, i use it everyday. its been given a new paint & still has the original giant logo decal up front. cromo. my question is that, a friend of mine has an old 1990 gary fisher frame, he opted to trade his frame for mine, the gf needs repainting since its been with him for quite sometime. theres no signs of breakage or modification on the frame, it just needs to be repainted. the thing is, is it a win-win situation for me if we swapped frames or better stick to my rock? your suggestions will be highly appreciated. ss rules!

get the gary fisher! Its a win-win for as long as your friend is willing to part with it and find enjoyment in your frame, and if you will have a fit as good as you had with the gary fisher.

I'd agree that the GF is overall a more valuable brand. but be sure that the GF has no structural damage and is the right size for you.

GF wins hands down ...but caveat emptor k specially among friends. friendships are more precious and not to be ruined by unintended mistakes

tnx 4 ur replies. unfortunately, the gf has a broken dropout. sayang. i opted with the giant since it has no dents & dings.

my ss old school bike is nearly finished, will post the pics when its done. dyno888 & miguel had already seen & ridden it. i managed to put an old school gf straight bar. just polished it.
another question po? i have an old scott at4 pro aerobar, polished it, my question: is it ok if i put it in the bike or better stick with the gf staright bar?
