I've used & own 3 Zoke forks namely the '05 All Mountain 3 ($269 sale), '05 Z1FR3($279 sale), & '06 66 RC2X($825 not on sale when I got it). Both the All Mountain 3 & Z1FR3 have SSV damping ; 32mm stanchions; and air preload as the only external adjustment. The AM3 has 130mm of travel and QR drop-outs while the Z1FR3 has 150 mm travel and 20mm thruaxle. The AM3 is positioned as an entry level all mountain fork which I used with '04 IronHorse Sinister Comp with RS Sid Air Shock (3.5" travel). The Z1FR3 is positioned as an entry level light freeride fork which currently serves duty in my Specialized Hardrock Sport ( Hardtail ). Since both forks have the same dampening technology, they have almost the same feel as being too linear, and could not be used comfortably in fast rockgarden descents. These forks tend to pack up on those conditions as I have personally experienced in my favorite Hummingbird trail. The Z1FR3 is abit stiffer though because it's got coil springs on both stanchions in addition to the air preload. I've also tried it for low dirt jumping (3 foot drops & 6 foot gaps) and it proven generally fine but too tall. The AM3 is the lightest of my 3 forks at 4.25 lbs and has the lowest AC height 518mm. My Z1FR3's weight is 5.25 lbs and has an AC of 538mm.
My biggest fork and my pride and joy which sees free-ride action in my KHS FR2000 with Manitou Swinger 6 way is my 66 RC2X. This is one of the heaviest 6.75lbs and burliest 35mm stanchions with same width and lower legs as 888's. This is actually a single crown 888 rc2x and it sports maximum adjustability for extreme freeride such as low and high speed compression, rebound, & air preload. Unlike my AM3 & Z1FR3 in which I have to change the oil weights and level to get my desired feel, this fork has on the fly adjustability.I can set it extremely sensitve to small ruts yet still stiff enough for those big hits, jumps & gaps. The confidence that I get when I'm running this fork is so high that i could pedal over rock gardens as well as take 4-6 foot drops with serious speed. Multiple successive medium hits is also not a problem with this fork. The only real drawback is the weight since my bike weighs a porky 43 lbs with this fork.

Model : Bomber Jr T. 2003 (Italy made) - Std quick release Price: 15k - 2nd hand... bought from a friend Travel: 170mm Length of use(abuse?): almost a year now Bike Setup: Freeride/downhill Pros: Im satisifed with the fork's performance. It never let me down. Sensitive on small bumps and can handle jumps & big drops as well with ease. I used this fork for freeride, dirt jumping (just a simple jump and land - no 360 , trail & downhill racing. Cons: None so far... again, i'm very satisfied with its performance.

mx pro 03 is upgradable.
I had its travel extended from 4" to 5". I had its internal lower aluminum extension fabricated by BoyetWorks. And the rest of the technical stuff was done by Bong L.(best mechanic for Marz. forks) Galing!

mga bros,
im very disappointed with my bomber AM1 2005! In less than a year air leaked and its been on and off the service center ( 3times already). They should replace it instead of giving me a hassle. Its a brand new one but its technically defective. I wonder marzochi knew about this defective thing. I will never use marzochi fork.!

giowow hassle dude, i'm sure you just got a fluke one. most marz are pretty bombproof. i've already owned 3, and they just last forever.

I've been using MX Pro 03 and the rebound failed after abusing it for 2 years and 4 months. This is one tough fork! Its an install and forget thing.

I've a 06 Marz All-Mountain 2 installed now and all I can say is that it's dreamy. The rebound and compression preload settings are awesome and can really change the way your ride feels.
I might move to an MX Pro ETa though just for the ETA.

guys how about z1 drop off? go for the z1 freeride instead it has an hscv damping, used on 888 and 66 rc's,compared to the ssvf damping of the z1 drop off which can also be found on jr. t's...but either of the two would be an excellent choice ;D

currently using a 2007 Marzocchi All-mountain 4(OEM) installed on my 07 reign 3, i used it on my 7 day trip to aklan and boracay, for me nothing beats the beefy look and style of marzocchis, and what i like most with this fork is it doesnt bob too much when you pedal uphill, just dont stand on it , and its light( 2450grams) for its size and travel( 160mm), come downhill and this fork really shine and does its job its like floating on clouds ;D overall its a killer fork! i love it!

thanks for the replies guys a lot of avid marz fans... rafaeljcordova, whats the diff between the ssvf and the hscv? heheh havent got the fork yet but planning to get one... all i can afford is the drop off.. the z1 freeride a lil too pricey heheh
