Model : Year z1 fr 03 Price: php13k Travel: 80mm or 105mm 130mm Length of use(abuse?): 1yr Bike Setup: cherry bomb xt/hone components Pros: built for the abuse, has eta for climbing, plush. been a big fan of manitou forks since i got the black, but been riding more aggressively and besides my hardtail needed a fork so i needed a new one for the fs. the z1fr is stiff on initial compression which makes it fairly pedable but becomes plusher as more travel is used Cons: none

I was just thinking, all I have right now is my Marz DJ3, could I use it in an XC frame for XC rides?

'07 MZ Race - OEM came with built bike.
Spring loaded with lockout.
Plush and feels stiff, casting looks better finished than previous MZ models. It feels lighter than my old '03 MX Comp even if it has steel stanchions. Although sag and travel is correct, it's a bit soft for my taste. Preload adjustment doesn't help as much. (or maybe because of my weight gain, d@mn donuts) Bottom line is it performs well over expectations and is good for it's purpose (XC, trail).

Model : z1 fr sl 03 Price: php 7.5k(2nd hand) Travel: 130mm Length of use(abuse?): a few weeks Bike Setup: bullit/xt/deore (33pounds trail bike) Pros: built for the abuse, has ECC5 for climbing, plush. 5' travel, light fork(at least for me) Cons: air set-up is hard to configure. bottoms out if air preload is low but has great rebound. and the fork's color is red!

Model : Zoke EXR Pro... dual air Year: 2005 Price: 4,500 php Bought from: 2nd hand here in PinoyMTBiker. Travel: 130mm Length of use(abuse?): used for 3+ months. Bike Setup: Single speed... dj rig Pros: For my weight, its ok... I like the dual air preload. It can be adjusted to every type of ridding where I throw it at. Had dropped her 5ft to tranny and some big air (DJ). So far so good. Haven't bottomed her yet. I know I'm abusing the fork... its an XC fork ;D. Cons: There's a thud sound when you lift the front wheel. It's not a big deal though...
