after 67km of pedalling, pushing and groaning under the summer sun our reward awaits... a bucket of eight meal and a box of six for five hungry souls and partially quenched with a simple dip and the monster of the deep dove in... enjoying while i cleaned their bikes...

Thanks everyone for making this ride memorable. Special thanks to the PinoyMTBiker vets who stayed with me thru my broken chain and RD espisodes. They are now the new PinoyMTBiker XTR Shadow Team (they managed to fix my 08 XTR Shadow RD) and got me shifting all the way home. Mountg, Trance, Bandido, Wandie & Sydney can now bike our roads and not smell the fumes! (nose filters!). Will post pics soon.

Congrats to all the newbies who joined this ride! You're newbies no more. Thanks to Bandido and kulot_salot for organizing this event and to all those who helped make the newbies enjoy the ride. Despite the very very hot weather, it was another successful PinoyMTBiker activity, hope we can have part 2! ;D Nice to meet and ride with the ever growing PinoyMTBiker family. The name tags provided by Ice did make it easier to remember everyone without having to awkwardly ask their names or handles. Thank you sir Ice. I just uploaded the video of the ride on you tube: I apologize in advance for the editing, i haven't really gotten the hang of it so medyo nangangapa pa. Until the next ride, ride safe everyone!

hey guys, had a lot of fun yesterday. and our newbies (Maan and Shiela) enjoyed it tremendously. Kudos to Shiela (ultimate_carlo's sis) who, even after several spills, was all the more determined to improve (she had learned to bike only last month). And to Maan (cheenky's sis) who was ripping down the trails (recklessly? But definitely, I see raw talent there naks. Too bad we never got to catch up with the main group and meet the rest of people, but had fun meeting up with the 'lost commands' through the trail. thanks to sockman, arci, paul for fixing maan's shoe with an inner tube. winning design though goes to sir arci thanks to all the halimaws (freeman, arnold, jon, tolits, etc) who could probably finish the entire ride in about an hour, but were at the very back sweeping up all the 'stragglers' and the best quote from this ride, as stated by sir arci "Leave nothing but yourself" hehehehe till next time

organize 130+ riders (majority of which are real newbies, reel newbies and some feeling newbies), sprinkle the group with some veterans here and there to do the pacing, marshalling and sweeping), bring them to a destination-trail that boasts of everything that shouts MOUNTAIN BIKING (fire roads, single tracks, river crossings, a busy street, technical downhills), put an added spice of a nerve-tingling hike a bike across an irrigation canal cum bridge and finally stir up the sun to be in its energy-sapping heat and what have you got here.......... a LABORED day Newbie Fun Ride P M T B - style let the posted and still to be posted pictures tell the story PS: at chowking after the ride..... arci (to bandido): brad that was a great newbie ride, when do we make a redux. bandido: let the newbies heal their sore muscles first and erase the smile on their faces and then we do an ABUYOD-PINUGAY (Antipolo Trail) Newbie Ride ;D ;D

This is the hardest newbie ride i have experienced so far. STIR!!!! how about the afp-rev? and how about the 'pastor roman guided tour' last year... that was %^&$%^&%$^@$%&$$#$@#$@%^$%!!!!! ;D ;D ;D NO MAS brad!!! This one i rode in support of your evil idea. i was lured to join the sweepers. Bandidos 4 Barbie tube punctures, a short course on paul's how to make rellenong gulong(making a troublesome tire work), a rider's shoe and its sole who hated each other, another rider who kept crashing on lestat's (cursed? ;D) KHS, Gentle giant's chain tinkering, Bm5er's on-the-spot convert-an-ibis-to-SS and assemble-disassemble-assermble-an-XTR-RD short quiz and lastly, chase Jon the champ to grotto-daang bakal to chowking at while the sun is scorching hot. I missed rubbing elbows with the rest of our guests but it was nevertheless a different high. it was FUN. All the locals there that we have conversed with were amazed by the size of the horde. the sari sari store after the first river crossing already served 3 cases of softdrinks to the group before us. Overall, the ride was a success. problem now is... youll earn exalts and may lose your precious smites.hehehe @ Jessie-good to know your cam fell on good hands.way to go gadgets! @ SYDNY - thans for the trailmix food har har har @ MTBVentures - thanks for feeding chris brad. i owe you one! @ Randiezbee - i scoured the parking as soon as i arrived in chowking but no topeaks i saw brad. sorry. @all - congrats to a successfull undertaking.
