Had a fun time yesterday riding with everyone! Thanks to small, mforce, Charlie, and Wandie for sharing their pictures. Thanks to Arnold and James for cooking up the ride. Thanks to Paul, Jon, and Allan for taking responsibility in doing the hard job of sweeping the group. Yesterday's ride was definitely one for the books!

This is awesome!!! Hats off to the pipol behind this Newbie Ride! ;D ;D ;D Jon, I like your jersey. hey banny! i like your titanium seven frame better. ;D thanks to eric aka bm5er for the nose filters. i tried them last night going to our post ride drinking session in mandaluyong (at lui's) and it works great and so simple to use. i'll post my pics last, hehehe. ;D

NO MAS brad!!! This one i rode in support of your evil idea. i was lured to join the sweepers. Bandidos 4 Barbie tube punctures, a short course on paul's how to make rellenong gulong(making a troublesome tire work), a rider's shoe and its sole who hated each other, another rider who kept crashing on lestat's (cursed? ;D) KHS, Gentle giant's chain tinkering, Bm5er's on-the-spot convert-an-ibis-to-SS and assemble-disassemble-assermble-an-XTR-RD short quiz and lastly, chase Jon the champ to grotto-daang bakal to chowking at while the sun is scorching hot. I missed rubbing elbows with the rest of our guests but it was nevertheless a different high. it was FUN. All the locals there that we have conversed with were amazed by the size of the horde. the sari sari store after the first river crossing already served 3 cases of softdrinks to the group before us. Overall, the ride was a success. problem now is... youll earn exalts and may lose your precious smites.hehehe @ Jessie-good to know your cam fell on good hands.way to go gadgets! @ SYDNY - thans for the trailmix food har har har @ MTBVentures - thanks for feeding chris brad. i owe you one! @ Randiezbee - i scoured the parking as soon as i arrived to chowking but no topeaks i saw brad. sorry. @all - congrats to a successfull undertaking. good to hear about jessie's camera being in the right hands. allan, i had a tummy ache from laughing out loud while fixing bm5er's carbon XTR shadow. sadly, i was also very hungry during that time, hehehe. to all the folks here, stop smiting wandie, ok? ;D sdny, thanks for the trailmix ha. bm5er, awesome nose filters. thanks ulit.

All I can say is that, I am glad that I went. I went home late the night before this ride. I came from a bday party and my friends were really giving me all the reasons not to go home the cinderella time. But I'm happy that I did wake up early and went to Chowking.
Anyhoo, I would like to keep these as brief as I can. "Thank You" to all those who brought their digicams. Indeed pictures are memories frozen in time. Thank You to those guys, who even do not know me, but still took those pictures. This really means something and this really makes me feel overwhelmed and that I belong. I just hope that I have the opportunity to bond with you more.
THANK YOU: arci, sire andre, rfgamboajr, dirty jane, warlock, alphabolt, pinkmoon, trance, yukon, kulot salot, bandido, paul freeman, mountguitars, ice, wandie, ben dover, mr and mrs ratbugasmati, sdny, mforce, lui-g, mat and michelle, julia, jamis joplin, jubz, enzo, gener, bm5er, posible21, small and co., rhomdoc, buknoy, gadgets, charlie barkin, jessiecruzph, goku, ten, othan, idontknow, plankton dash, mojo, jesser, pastor ernie, gary and to the others whose faces I know but dont know their names though. THANK YOU and I hope to ride with you guys and gals! RIDE SAFE.

arci (to bandido): brad that was a great newbie ride, when do we make a redux. bandido: let the newbies heal their sore muscles first and erase the smile on their faces and then we do an ABUYOD-PINUGAY (Antipolo Trail) Newbie Ride ;D ;D Looking forward to yet another great gathering of the PinoyMTBiker tribe! Hope we can do it before the end of summer and before the rains start washing out the trails. Cheers!

My definition of a "newbie ride" changed bigtime..
what amazes me is when were going to a HALT for the first time after taking off from chowking.. was hearing the thundering sound of cleats unclip "Wow ang sarap pakinggan inkredibol!! balik na tayo.." trans: (Pray!!! Definitely these guys are not newbies...gulp..)

(let me know who you are... i didnt noticed your name tag ;D) me and ericson really enjoyed the ride... nice meeting you all~!!!

Nelson nice acting hehe, Sir Enzo is there pala eh hehe I hope to see you here soon... miss you guys hope to bike soon :-) Alain (bike2006) of TEAM LaMien is a changed man! He endoed somewhere and turned hardcore during the ride! Called him the day after (Friday) to tell him I hurt all over, his response was: "Sorry, I'm busy Saturday, sa Sunday nalang let's repeat the trail!" Muhahahaha!!!!!!!! ;D Btw, the triceps cramp drama wasn't acting, Harry! Was gripping the handlebar too tightly all the time trying to catch up with the biker babes! Ang lalakas! (couldn't get any frontal action shots bec I was left behind!) And yes, I got to meet everybody in the flesh! It was like I knew them a long time already even before we met! Thanks to youtube and this forum! P.S. To Barbie, next time you need inner tubes, ask me because I usually have some in my backpack... along with Polo shirts, caps and other souvenir items! Isteb, next time you want catpao/siomai/other dimsum orders, you have to text me 24 hrs in advanced so I can bring the steamer...
