i heard that no bike is allowed in eastwood... i cant find the old thread where it says that bikes are prohibited inside eastwood coz of one incident that a biker was hit by a falling debris and filed a complained and since then they dont allow bikers to go inside eastwood... i live in eastwood and my daily driver is a bike as well. i too face the dilemma of being told off by eastwood's security or at the least being asked where i'm headed. i simply tell them i live in lafayette and their face quickly changes with a polite "sige sir." thing is, they're just doing their job as i know we all have to- it's our bread and butter. i think the trick here, if you've been pulled over by the guards here, is to politely explain to them that either you work or live here. give them a smile after and find a way to insert the word "pare" in your conversation- its a way of introducing yourself to the guard. believe me, you'll have to do this only once and he'll remember you tomorrow and the next work days to come.

Mine's a combo. ....My wife drives me to the bus terminal in buendia around 2 am on mondays, put the bike on the baggage compartment under the bus then dozes off for a 3 hour ride to Quezon province. Then from the bus terminal in lucena city I bike 5kms to the jeep terminal. Packs the bike inside the jeep then ride again for an hour. Kung me time pa, I may opt to disembark about 10 kms before my place of work so I can assault the hilly, winding but paved road. We happen to have a bathroom kaya walang hassle. I stay with my folks so I also bike in the afternoon 13kms to another town then bike again the next morning to work. On fridays, i do the reverse, pero sa EDSA-Ayala ako bumababa. I take the Mckinley rd to fort bonifacio, nichols, bicutan paranaque route, 15 km. bike ride to home sweet home! Note: I carry an oversized backpack, minsan my gulay pa, padala ni nanay.

me and my officemate TOOTS bike to work 2x a week. toots coming from Valenzuela while me from Baesa QC. Meet kmi by 6am then padyak na going to work. We reach our office b4 7am. sometimes it took as 40 mins. easy face lng ang takbo. from qc to ortigas it's around 16km according to my cyclo comp. yeah...i agree with u guy's astig nga ang porma. sometimes dun ko lng nagagamit yung mga jersey ko. I even bought a new larger back pack para lalagyan ng uniform ko. Im glad we had a shower room in our office. I also bring extra toilettries in the office, towels and rubber sleepers. There was a time may nakita ako girl naka MTB sa Mindanao Ave. She's wearing complete gear, i think she bike commute din to work, that was the time naisip ko mas ok pa yta mag bike n lng ako goin to work. tipid pa at mas mabilis pa. Kaya more PADYAK POWER to us!

dami na nga natin! inggit kasi ako sa inyo eh...
this is an opportunity for saddle time since i can't ride frequently due to the rains and my work sched.
i'll be saving more or less 50 pesos for transpo fare to and from the office everyday... compared to paying just 20 pesos flat parking rate for bikes. i just discovered that our building has bike parking pala... they just don't have a proper bike rack...
bike ako ulit bukas papasok... ika nga ni Freeman, sayang ang miles... ÜÜÜ

I bike to work at least once a week. Just doing that, my weekly gas cost is still my weekly gas cost before the rapid fuel price hikes. Ride a bike- be immune from high gas prices. My officemates are thinking of getting bikes too, when I told them.

Sali na rin ako ma'am Feline. I started using my bike to work since three weeks ago. (Mostly if my sched is light.) I'm on the saddle for at least every MWF. And once in the office, I just take a shower for a fresh start.
In my case of traveling safe, I use the side streets so fewer cars/trucks/what have you along side me. Most of the time, nasa banketa ako pumapadyak, so no matter how many vehicles are on the road, I'm no hazzard to them.
Further, there are already a lot of riders I see out there on their bikes on a working week. I'm waiting for the day that I'll see someone IN their suit, WITH their backpacks, and ON their bike to work.
Kaya, more power to all of us bike lovers. Sana dumami pa tayong lahat!!!!!!!!

Is it just me or talagang dumadami na ang bikes sa kalsada?
I started noticing this mga 3 months ago. Specially sa Cainta where our office is, madami kasing factories dun. Looks like there are a lot bike commuters na.

Rissa, nice seeing you biking to work, it was fun isn't it . You have nothing to worry about the traffic, it gives you freedom on the road. Its good for you, you now bike buddy:D. I remember her (jenny), kasama sya sa sta rosa tagaytay ride with mtbbabes . I bike to work 3 or 4 times a week, from tuesday to friday. Every monday, I drive my pick-up just to bring my clothes/uniform. Distance from home to office is 13.5km, it was good exercise, loop ang ginagawa ko, going to office via service road, on the way home via sucat-airport road, I bike 27km a day.

Sir Arnold,
Lalakas ka nyan! ;D
It's good seeing people go to work using their bikes, but I think it's even better to know that they CAN use their cars instead but opted not to.
Ride Safe!
