What was your first camera?
The one where you discovered the joy of this art called photography?
Or if not the first, on what camera did you hone your skills the most?
Me, my first camera was the PENTAX K1000. Fully manual, no bells, no whistles. Just frame, focus, match the needles in the viewfinder and shoot! That's where I honed my skills.
One wonders how cameras became the complicated gizmos that they are today.

Canon TX? That camera is built like a tank! yes it is! i still use it if i wanted to use my artistic photography talent and really old school feel... (without the fools of photoshop)... and maybe also bec of my lenses availabilty... i also use then for panning shots and depth of fields considering i cannot really master them on dslr's

The first SLR I ever used was a borrowed Nikon F3 which I needed for photography class in college. Funny thing was, photography didn't appeal to me back then. In fact, since I was good friends with the lab tech, I had him do all my work for me. However, I began to love photography after I started using my sister's EOS 300. I eventually graduated to using her Fuji S602Z and used that till I was able to buy my own rig.

Olympus 35 SP Manual. now...if only the lenses could be changed on this camera....but i still like it, although i haven't been using it lately. it's got a Zuiko lens, which is praised but I have no idea what it is www.ph.utexas.edu/~yue/misc/35SP.html

anthrax76Zuiko is the name for Olympus' own line of lenses. Even today, Olympus' lenses for its DSLRs carry the Zuiko name. Zuiko lenses have a good reputation for quality.

My first manual was a Konica, just forgot the model. A point and shoot digital was a Sony DSC-W1.
