is there some commercials that you don't understand and you call it stupid? share naman.. hehe..
here's mine.. 1.kalimutan ko e.. pero yung may line na "I'm Guilty!" 2. sunsilk (yung sumakay ng taxi tapos nabasa ung 2 couple.. i don't see the relevance with the shampoo) 3. the new Pepsi.. (Don't worry there's no sugar!) i don't get the line from their presentation..

wait till you guys see the japanese commercials ;D basti what can u sya about this? ;D
agree with you brad! ;D
i watch any shows here in japan....pero mas na-aappreciate ko pag commercial na... mas naaliw ako! ;D most of there tv commercial here are very funny...but i guess effective...as a consumer kasi natatandaan mo yung product coz of the way they are delivered on the tv... especially when Noriko is on it! wow!
I am the night I am the day. I am the light gone astray. The fear that's in your bones. That is I, I am the taker of souls. -excerpts from the song "ARISE" of Wolfgang
I like Japanese commercials, in a way its entertaining, unique and mostly humurous. Not like the stereotypical commercials in the PI. exibit A - All shampoo commercials are the same. B - Alcoholic drinks (gin, rum, whisky, etc) showing off gender superiority. C - Cooking or table condiments, food just like my granny used to make. D - Tooth paste that will guarantee instant pogi points when you smile. E - Cellphones which will solve all of your lifes woes. F - Fastfood restos, making sure your kids are HAPPY, FAT, SPOILLED, BRATS!
I think these are some of the stupidest and unoriginal ads on TV.
There is just a few who have the guts to pull away from the ordinary. Like vitamin ads(pharmaton, strees tabs) petroleum ads(shell, petron), Flip-flops or tsinelas (remember Spartan? "wala akong tibay na maaasahan...."), some noodle ads(Knorr cup noodles, luck me). Candy ads( Maxx).
"If you think about it, mud is just wet dirt." -Homer Simpson
anybody can explain the pepsi (no sugar) commercial and the nescafe (lupit ever!) commercial?
Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
but y'know, these stupid commercials are the ones that achieve their purpose...name recall.
I hated kris aquino's famous kiwi commercial where she blurted: "shoeses ko..."
later, i read an article how the ad writer deliberately used a grammatically flawed line...well...para pag-usapan, and it got me.
yeah...the jumbopack commercial tops my stupid commercials list.
i dont know but i still like the vintage commercials i still see (during pacquiao bouts) like the family rubbing alcohol ad. I miss the dragown katowl ads though.
the way i figured it is there are actually two things the victim has to worry about, the actual event (guy in the building, monkey driver) but the people setting them up is telling them not to worry because they did not drink any sugar in their drink (they will not get fat?)
anyway for stupid commercials, unfortunately i haven't seen the jumbopack
1) that super long best foods commercial with vhong navarro, you could use that airtime somewhere else
2) nescafe "lupit ever" i find it amusing but nonsense.
3) weird but anything with kris aquino......have you seen that make-up commercial?
you know I had the same issues with those Nescafe commercials so I actually asked my friend who works at Nestle, and apparently it's supposed to target a different age group. ergo, it's either generation gap and medoy baduy na talaga ang next generation (bagets time tayo eh hehehe) or something went wrong with their market research
about Kris A, also asked a friend who works in an ad agency (bakit ba si Kris nasa lahat? Bench, Gateway, etc etc . . . ) apparently putting Kris there appeals to the masa daw. A CEO of a major company actually insisted on using her against the ad agency's suggestion.
at any rate, i think ala ng tatalo dun sa Chanely Condo Pie commercial mom: what's that? dad: Chanely Condo Pie mom: is that like an apple pie? dad: no, it's a Condo Pie . . .
It looks like the nescafe commercial is a knockoff of clips from MTV, those japanese guys doing some stunts i.e. "human vacuum pack" ... where the leader say "boys an grrls don do dis at hom" at the end
Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.
how about the pcso commercial about maong na di kumukupas..e karamihan nga ng maong kupas eh hehe! wait...i know what they really meant...parang timeless ek ek..but i dont think its the best way to say it..pwede siguro diamond, gold etc..pero maong?
"its not the mountains that we conquer, it's ourselves." ...e.hillary
as a masscomm student.. napagaralan namin na the more corny the commercial the more na matatandaan ng tao.. pero i have one real favorite.. the dragon katol.. "lamowk siguradowng teypok!" ;D
Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
If you've watched eat bulaga during the 80's , you might remeber :
Villa Crisanta! Sa Kabyaw Nueva Ecija! With Swimming Pools and Bamboo Restaurant! Villa Crisanta! Villa Crisanta!
F@#$%!! Hanggang ngayon I still remember it
" When I'm eating, that's all I think about / If I'm on the march, I just concentrate on marching / If I have to fight,it will be just as good a day to die as any other / If you can concentrate always on the present, you'll be a happy man " - the Camel Driver
Mama Cita's Commercial - the family with bbq on their table, the mother led the Meal Prayer after that all BBQ's gone, that's a very bad commercial. Eating during praying promotes poor values!
pepsi commercial - i guess it's meant to be ironic. the guy is put in a deadly situation, but they're making it appear as if he's more worried about the sugar in his soda
kris aquino - i heard a rumor (so don't trust me) that even though she's endorsing products left and right, her masa charisma does not translate to sales. unlike sharon daw. the next day after her century tuna commercial came out, shoot up daw sales. and when she endorsed chicken mcdo (their slowest-moving product on the menu), the mcdo counter staff actually report to being asked by diners, "ano yung kinakain ni sharon sa commercial?" if this is true then i guess kris is just popular, but in the hearts of the masa they don't trust her judgment ;p
favorite commercial - kitkat, yung nag-break yung photographer and the bears started dancing
