Not really something to brag about (unlike those who did all the ways). Just wanted to share a very wonderful ride experience Started a lil past 6:30 AM from the Camp John Hay gate going down Kennon. about 40++mins of endless road going down on a very cold morning.... i arrived at the entry point Toll gate. Exactly 8AM i started my ascent back to CJH.. at the Toll Gate: and a little past the Toll... then my 1 hour mark here (9AM)... it was very nice, climbing the long road back, gradual climbs going to short rolling then climbs again with all the beautiful mountains on both sides (sorry i didnt take much pics of it as i was enjoying the moment.hehehe) then @ exactly 10AM i reached the Lion's Head... all my stops were brief. para di lumamig. ;D got back to CJH at exactly 11AM. 3 hours of climbing. the first parts were easy, rolling uphills. the last 8Kms is hard but not because of the climb but because its getting closer to the city. a lot of traffic, fumes from diesel engines, narrower road... the climb is actually doable using just the mid ring Thanks for viewing. Biggest thanks to Raul for everything, you spoiled me so much. i owe you one. Thanks to those who gave their support. you know who you are!

Idol ka talaga namin ... Tofi. (You are our real Idol...Tofi).
This sure beats your regular AFP Reverse menu.
Climbing Kennon while on mid ring makes it very doable pala.
You and Brusko showed the way as always.
Watch the throng follow.

Someday, I also want to do that ... ingit na ako! it is indeed a one of a kind experience. do it! ;D Tofi, That is one ride I'd like to do on my next vacation. Very inspiring...thanks for sharing the pics and the adventure! Thank you sir. do find time to do it. whether on MTB or Road bike. Congaratulations Sir Tofi, lufet mo ha!! Are you with your family in Baguio that day? Sneaky ride before they wake up? So takusa pace on a 3 hour climb?hehehhehe Nice, sarap gayahin... was actually with Raul. He had some work related stuff. he wasnt able to ride though. sayang. we were planning to hit Sto.Tomas radar but we were too drunk the next day.hehehe 3 hours on conservative pace. it can be shorter but you're just gonna pass by the beautiful scenery without enjoying it. i actually wished i stopped more and took a lot more pics. ;D Nice experience Tofi! Next time take Naguilian road. Thanks for sharing your ride Thanks Da Man! i saw parts of Marcos hi-way and i felt heat! (nag init ako!) next time.hehehe wow!!! nice one tofi. Thanks! now i know why baguio riders are very strong! walang patag!hahaha ;D its always my dream to conquer baguio. i hope sometime soon.. it would be a great achievement! nice one fafa tofs! when was this pala and why gone solo??? last Friday, solo coz Raul had work. sayang nga e. lets plan one soon. i want to do it again and again and again....hehehe Idol ka talaga namin ... Tofi. (You are our real Idol...Tofi). This sure beats your regular AFP Reverse menu. Climbing Kennon while on mid ring makes it very doable pala. You and Brusko showed the way as always. Watch the throng follow. Fafa Rock, This aint nothing compared to what Bruce etc did. kulangot lang as i say it.hehehe sure beats the regular menu. anything new beats the regular menu.hehehe Congrats Idol Tofi ... inggit si papi bruce ... wala siya pics ... walang ebidinsiya ;D ;D Hopefully this summer i can follow the foot steps of my two idols Idol Noel! i wish we can do what idol Bruce did, the all the way. what i did is nothing compared to what he and the other all-the-way riders did. kabaliwan! ;D ;D ;D Aha! So you were with Raul in Baguio pala. A friend from La Farge told me she met Raul a.k.a. Dirk in their training/corplanning session. How cold did it get? :-) yeah! Raul told me that someone from La Farge knows you pala. it was not really cold. i didnt even wear my jacket. it was only on Friday afternoon that it got cold. during the ride tama lang. @tofi, how long is it from the toll gate to the lion's head? i was told it's around 25km? not very reliable though not sure how long it was either, i dont have a cyclocomp.but it took me a lil less than 2 hours from the Toll gate til the Lions head on a conservative pace. the last few kilometers from the Lions head til the city is the tough part. not because of the climbs but because of the traffic, narrowing roads,pollution... BTW, was using Kenda Karma 2.0 tires.just pumped up the air a bit ;D

Hey, you have a very strong legs brad, kahit car hirap umahon dyan sa LIons Head part. If you ascend w/o pushing the bike, then you're really strong. Keep it up.

Your strong Sir, really strong, just by driving along Kennon, I can feel my car having a hard time. :-) if Baguio was just nearby... but true when you reach the top lotsa car lotsa pollution :-( its true, the last parts nearing the city is the toughest due to traffice and fumes. its doable sir. proper pacing and enjoy it lang Thanks for sharing your Baguio experience with us. Thanks Kevs! you haven't ridden our side of the town ha. my offer still stands. ride with us here and i'll treat everyone who joins. Hey, you have a very strong legs brad, kahit car hirap umahon dyan sa LIons Head part. If you ascend w/o pushing the bike, then you're really strong. Keep it up. not really,as long as you enjoy what you are doing you can just keep going and going (naks! ;D ) besides its just the last 8kms that's the toughest. all the rest before that was all beautiful scenery on gradual climbs Thanks for sharing the trip and the pics. Very inspriring. Bullet day, bullet day (balang araw), I will also do it. find the time to do it sir. its really a one of a kind experience. thanks! Don't believe tofi. He was actually riding a jeepney up. He just pedaled on the way down. you're just bitter coz you weren't able to ride at all!! ;D ;D ;D honestly, you think about those things when you are descending, its a never ending road going down, you check the time and you see 10,15,20...mins gone by and you are still going down, the toll gate is no where in sight, maybe i should start climbing back before its too late.hehehe you can't help but think how you can go back up but i guess its all in the mind. you're there already, whats holding you back? might as well do it and just enjoy it!.hehehe Great feat , Tofi! and you took pictures! Bruce's was tough but that s smart ;D ;D ;D heheh yeah bruce did take pics, even videos. i was too lazy and concentrating on my pace and getting back in one piece.hehehe and besides, this is nothing to what bruce etc did.the all the way. imagine climbing this when you were already biking the whole day.in the dark and cold of the night. insanity ;D great ride tofi brad! congratulations and thanks for sharin' the awesome experience! curahee! Thanks man! @tofi, how long is it from the toll gate to the lion's head? i was told it's around 25km? not very reliable though Sir it's 8 kms from lions head to BMC hospital yes from the Lions head its about 8km. from the toll gate to the Lions head i dont have a clue.hehehe something tells me i should install a cyclo comp.hahaha

cool ride. i wish i could've done this last summer as me and my wife already brought our bikes with us. but it was raining and we felt it was dangerous. next time perhaps. btw, how did you bring the bike inside cjh? we were booked at the manor and preparing to ride in the morning when the guard stopped us to tell us that biking is not allowed inside the compound. the thing is he even lets us assemble our bike and admired the rigs and when we're ready to go, wham!!! no bike
