Viewers, please be informed that the pics are posted in REVERSE choronological order... Looks like Prof. Charlie was too tired to narrate the story as well. Don't ask me, I don' t remember when or why or whatever... I was too busy concentrating on NOT falling off yesterday and I'm busy applying Chili plaster all over my body today! ;D I'm just amazed we made it safely, no semplangs (face plants) or flat tires. I was pushed beyond my limits, pure luck! Thanks to Albert for leading the ride and Harry for the lunch pala! For the record, I was the reason we got late! Since I didn't have a backpack/bladder, I drank half a liter of gatorade before the ride. So we made 9 pitstops because I had to go and relieve myself... and again... and again... ;D I figured it was a strategy that by the time we reach licao-licao, I'd be dehydrated enough and light enough to tackle the climbs!

Tito Arci!
I was so worried yesterday for a lot of reasons:
We didn't meet up with Enzo and the gang. Sayang...
Harry and I were having our taste for off-road trails for the first time.
The ride was beyond my comfort zone (noodletown-to-MOA).
I was starting to wonder if the sun will show (it finally came around 11a.m.), because if it rained, we'd definitely go back and not risk the ride.
We didn't have a mature rider (halimaw) who can go back to get a rescue team quick in case something bad happened.
There was one incident before the licao-licao terminal where somebody was trying to take Harry's bike from him.
There was one incident where a tricycle swerved so much and met me head-on and nearly sideswiped me because he was evading a hole in his side of the road. He was going so fast with wanton disregard for my safety.
The bumpy ride was juggling my nuts too much.
... among other things.
Next time, I'd be happy if we were more than 4. Join us ha!

Hi guys, 1st of all, I would like to apologize to the brothers who texted me, It was my 1st time to Licao and I didnt know the way there that is why I couldnt text you as to what time exactly we will arrive or where exactly we are, we dropped by chowking to check on you guys saw some cars with bike racks. :-) The trip was really long (for me) coming all the way from Binondo, but it was worth it, and 1st time I went to a trail with out anyone having a flat tire, injury(except for soar ass) and other bike related uncertainties. Well actually I was the only newbie in the group, specially during the climbs, gadgets was like the moon revolving around the earth (me, hehe), he would climb fast, take pictures overtake me again then take pictures then overtake again... reason why I had allot of pictures taken hehe. Sayang didnt get to meet the other PinoyMTBiker Idols. But these guys I biked with are Idols themselves, didnt leave me eventhough I'm slow, waited half way for me to catch up during the climbs. Can't wait for the next one. :-)

When we arrived we were all so struck thinking if we can survive and then there were muck! I think I heard my balakang snapping. The ride was back-breakin, nut-crackin, Given a chance I won't go back again, cause today, can't think of anythin but body pain...

Hehe come to think of it your right, gadgets, I just enjoyed that ride so much that I almost forgot about all of those almost (close call) things that happened. Yah I was witness to that tryk who almost smashed into gadgets to think we were already singlefiled, what an Ass*&^%$^%!!! for no reason he just went straight to our lane, good thing gadgets maintained his balance and composure. :-) and there was this guy he was with a group "tambay" drinking redhorse by a parked jeep, who chased after me during the trail, since I was behind the pack, he came to me and jogged beside me and said " Bossing ako na papadyak para sa iyo." (trans: Hey I'll pedal for you) I said "Ok pa ako thank you nalang" (trans: I can manage thank you) with a smile pa. THen he insisted on biking for me, he even tried to reach for my handles, I wanted to give him one shot but they were just to many of them and I was kinda numb from all the pedalling. Then he gave up the chase and started screaming " Ako na nga papadyak para sa iyo ayaw mo pa, with *&^%$#%!!!" repeatedly until I made the next curve and his voice faded. I was just too busy concentrating on what I was really suppose to do that I just didnt mind him. Good thing nothing happened to me or to my other 3 buddies.

yeh next time I wonder if ever we went back there again we device a plan to keep this team together in one piece. that time I cannot help stop peddaling when I we are coming back from licao-licao. I got a very painful legs due to cramps and painful fingers due to artritis and also plenty of back pain. I think it would took me a week or two to recover from this. but that would be easy to go there if I only use the other norco of mine. so if ever we go back there again be sure to have a game plan with us.

In the photo, you can see me and Albert (and Harry, not in the photo) giving Dr. Charlie a "short" 30-minute lecture on the benefits of NOT smoking. To which his response was: "Ehh... I changed brand already. This is not menthol..." Who argues with a doctor anyway? Note: We are very close to being warned for being OT for being makulit... (This reminder is NOT supported by your favorite cigarette sponsor)

Yah people you know what, I can stop smoking for days or weeks. but sometimes I can't help it.....but this time I will try to bike long distance with out smoking. I only smoke after I eat or make ebak (call of nature) but beyond that well it can change. right now is very hard to quit. but I will take it slow and easy....From 4 sticks a day to 1 stick a week and 0 stick a year. the photo you see there that i smoke, that was the time I finish eating lunch then smoke.
