Warning: Don't trail with an MP3 on your ears. Playing loud music with your ear phone can sometimes cause you accident on trail. you cannot here your surroundings for what happening during the trail. the best way is get a MP3 helmet from Asonic so you can enjoy the music without have trouble hearing whats happening in your trail surroundings.

MountG, Tons of thanks for lagging behind the main group to keep me company. The stitches was about to set in that's why I took it easy. Ang takaw kasi eh! ;D No excuse though for my weakness, wrong choice of gears or togs, and carrying my heavy bag of gadgets with me, I still feel Im in Dubai riding with Dubikers who are totally reliant on me in our remote trails. Didnt know that everyone is as adept in bike repairs 101. But the feeling is the same. "Palagay agad ang loob ko sa lahat." Overall, I just need to practice to be able to keep up with you guys. I cant believe Im starting to bcome like Papa Jessie ;D You can all call me a "Glutton" for all the food I ate. But I cant help it. Ang sarap!=YUMMY!!! roadside resto serving piping hot food, nice provincial(my term) breeze, and the cheesy sound from the jukebox. hehehe! Anthony tag me along since we are next baranggay neighbors. we did 97km total and end near Batasan where his wife was waiting to drive us home. Thanks to you Anthony! Thanks to all who joined this ride and for the company! Ang galing nyo lahat! It was worth all the suffering after 50 kms. ;D ;D

now, can anybody post the route we took? i can hardly remember what we did. everybody had a different orientation kasi. ;D . i heard tolits and co went all the way to pinugay while us and company made a left exiting to palo alto and then going to mang vics and then boso boso going to marat and then home. The route that most of us took was Tiendesitas - Greenwoods - Binangonan (Eastrigde - Petroglyph) - Anitpolo - Abuyod - Pinugay - Palo Alto - Cabading - Maarat - AFP. The group of Philipp went deep inside Pinugay and went out via Tanay then back to Binangonan. For me, this ride was very gruelling yet fun. Uphill climbs galore and the pacing was quite above my relax pace. I think the halimaws were even racing. Good thing that the rest stops were just long enough to recharge or else I would have given up in Pinugay. Going home was even more exhilirating. I think at some points we were going 30 to 40kmh on flats while playing patentero with the jeepneys and most of us did not bring lights as it was getting dark. I felt cramps setting in on both thighs as I closely tailed NVP and Bruce sprinting towards libis from riverbanks. I hope they were sprinting because I already was. Thanks nga pala to Dra. Kate for the topical antibiotic. Nice riding with you guys. ;D

Great ride everyone... so far the "halimaws" were in race pace mode keeping up was a chore ... our group guko, tolits and arman who went straight to the inner trails of pinugay were not so fast, we were met by a thick mud, slippery rocky technical ascents... i guess we just got separated somewhere along the trails...anyway we all went home safe and sound and thats the important thing.. more power to everyone! nice meeting you sir enzo! safe riding..

you said it king! yeah, they are certified nuts!...that's why mojiks, arman, goku and me discreetly devised a plan to bail out of the ride somewhere in pinugay ;D we skipped maarat even though arman is from san mateo since we were all wasted already after our side trip to pinugay trail...maputik yung ibang portions and the climbs were slippery...my apologies to all of you guys.

At last! I had the chance to shake hand with Da Man. Sir Edgar/enzo thanks for the tokwa't baboy, It was my pleasure meeting you sir.
Gary we did an epic ride to the point that mine, turned into a century egg due to the deep trail we did. We didn't expected that there is an exit to tanay rizal (basta tira lang ng tira). The "deep pinugay" to Tanay rizal is a great place to go and explore (kaya lang malayo), it has a "lot" of up hills waiting for a guy like you and the halimaws of PinoyMTBiker. It was indeed my pleasure seeing the faces behind the handle names even if I didn't introduced my self. Nice seeing you all!

garySo this was the ride you were talking about in SMS. Good thing I didn't join you coz if so, I don't know where I'd be after the ride. Pacing with you is even above my relax pace, what more could it be if it was above you relax pace ;P ...man I'd be in hell (cramps here & there) and even if I drink 1 gallon of gatorade/hydrite I don't know if I'll be able to recover fast to finish that epic ride ;D Thanks for sharing nice shots mountG

nice pics arman. thanks for sharing your hellish experience in pics. i didnt see any mud. i didnt see any technical uphills. maybe we should go back there one more time just to be sure, hehehe. ;D . but next time, we'll hit the single tracks in abuyod and the other single tracks where we should've made a right instead of a left (the one where we ate ice drops) and then go to daranak falls and then back using the fire road you took and then exit maarat. the end. ;D
oh yeah, on our way home we met arman at AFP. nice to see you in one piece brad. ;D

Yup yup yup, it was another century ride for us. My cyclocomputer registered 101.2 km. The route we took was Allterra - Tiendesitas - Greenwoods - Binangonan (Eastridge-Petroglyph) - Antipolo - Abuyod - Pinugay - Palo Alto - Cabading - Maarat - AFP - Monterey- Marikina - Allterra. ( We were still "bitin" that's why we took the Monterey route ;D )Sarap!!! We even got lost in Marikina coz we had no lights. ;D I had so much fun. ( lots of uphills kasi ;D ) And the pacing was fast. ( nagmamadali kasi si Bruce eh ) Nice riding with y'all though I didn't get all your names. ;D I'll just post the pics of some of you guys. Feel free to put your names under the pic. Thanks to "Da Man" Enzo for the gift. (sisterhood of the pink na talaga ) Thanks to Bruce for letting me use the restroom in his Lola's house. Thanks to Anthony M who helped me carry my bike up the overpass. 'Til our next adventure! Shots taken...... meet up point - Shell Julia Vargas pedalling towards petro katherine and caitlin ;D moi and ? first uphill towards the tower mountain goatee view from the top rest stop - sari sari store at the top to be continued.....

@eder - It's good that you enjoyed the ride. You're even lucky getting lost in pinugay because you get to try some good trails too. k1ntaroâ„¢ - Next time, join ka lang brad. Worry about how hard the ride is when you're there na. There are a lot of good bail out points naman.

sorry i didnt get your name. but i saw you hit the side of a wall at a bend going down AFP. good thing there were plants to dampen the crash. hope your ok brad. thanks brad. i got too close to the one in front of me while negotiating that bend. when i applied the brakes to maintain distance, the bike somehow "dictated" where it wants to go hehehe ;D i was luckily able to disengage from the clips on time, sat on the frame, applied the brakes fully, used both feet to alternately step on the ground to regain/maintain balance, until i end up on that side of the road, averting a total crash. during that 5-second nerve-wracking scenario, i kept thinking the inevitable and tried looking for a "good spot to lay down for a while" ;D buti na lang sinwerte.... thanks to you, arman and dra. kate for the great shots. thanks to enzo for the multi-colored icedrops ... thanks also to mayor eusebio"s help for intervening so we could pass thru the subdivision ;D thanks to everyone who joined this great ride!.... sino nga ulit promotor? ;D mtbventures/malvin
