we had our first mtb riding sortie as a group, last weekend, over at lake caliraya in cavinti laguna. it was a two-day affair filled with fun, lotsa biking, excitement, cramps, bike pushing, gatorade, sari-sari store bought pop-colas, bengays, bagnets, san mig lights, genoroso brandy, liempos, marl & dunhill lights! we stayed over at kings resort for the night. normally they would charge php200 a tent, but in our case since it rained pretty hard the first day, and we were forced to pitch our tents inside their recreation hall, they only charged us php300 for the three tents. the first day was the normal "kapaan" and "tantyahan". good thing we were able to return to the resort right in the nick of time before the strong down pour. the second day was more fun, as all of us were already "batak" from the previous day's ride. cool place to visit aside from going resort hopping are the japanese garden (excluding the eerie feeling inside), the lake's landmark, and the trail/ path down to pagsanjan falls (we would do it in future sorties.. promise! hehehe). curahee!

Wow nice pictures and views. Sir where did you start your ride? Thanks in advance. thanks 3d3r. it was our first ride as a group, so most of the group felt not to rush things up hehehe. anyways, some of us unloaded our bikes at the y intresection in lumban and rode up while the rest drove our cars up to kings resort and parked there to meet us. admitedly, most of us did some bike pushing on the way up at one point or another hehehe. upon reaching kings, and brief breather, the whole group decided to traverse down to the pagsanjan side and back. the next day, we went down again to the lumbang side and back up to kings... whew! curahee!

@ russian sniper rifle hehehe :-) curahee? it's a mountain located in taccoa, georgia... when translated from apache indian to english, means "we stand alone together".... this phrase was made famous during world war 2 by easy company, 2nd batallion, 506th parachute infantry regiment of the 10st airbourne divison of the u.s. army. they were made more famouse as the award-winning and much acclaimed hbo mini-series "band of brothers" revolved around them. curahee!
