Just a few pics of our rainy, muddy but fun ride today at Rocky Road-Licao2. The typhoon did not deter the riders, but in fact made the ride very cool and pleasant, if you can ignore the flying mud. ;D Victor, me, King on his SS , and trailmaster Mach at Macabud intersection. (Note all primary colors represented ;D ) with Bomboy on his silky sweet Orange p7 steel hardtail. Steel is real man! Rides like a softtail King on his SS dropped all of us gearies. Very many thanks to Sir Rocky for allowing us to park near his house and for the water (for drinking and washing ourselves). No more pics bec. my camera's battery died. Will try to get other pics from Bomboy's camera.

King is the quiet dude on yellow.
Upon seeing up close the typhoon riders returning to their cars from Rocky Road Trail, I was taken aback by how muddly they came back to civilization. Mud on their faces - eyes, ear, nose, cheeks, mouth - and mud still dripping wet down their hair, neck, chest, back, and legs. Seriously, for a moment, I experienced flashbacks of seeing Marines again marching in from the front!
My initial remark to them was " Your parents, wife, angkan, girlfriend, children, maids, corporate boss, clients will...will...will Disown you!!!"
They replied with the widest, most innocent, and happiest grin ... that made my day.

Nice, looks like a sweet ride.
Sorry for a bit OT, pero question lang po: Although I've used my steel frame a few times in wet weather, medyo iniiwasan ko. Any special treatment / maintenance in using steel frame in the rain? Or none at all?
Thanks po.

i use a lugged chromo road bike. the frame is at least 5 years old (i got it second hand so i'm not sure). they're pretty resilient to rusting naman. the most you'll get is some surface rust. just make sure you drain the frame after a wet ride so water doesnt accumulate inside. some frames have holes under the bottom bracket shell for bottom pull front derailleurs but those asrent enough to drain the frame of water. there's also a treatment you can put inside, but i forgot what it's called and i dont think it's available hear. Hi Rocks,
Thanks for letting us park at your house! We also appreciate the hose and the cold water. At least we were relatively clean when we went back home!
