Alright, so there has been many threads on reducing weight... and so gaining weight. But i'm just curious on this:
How do you maintain your weight now that you've acheived your goal?
Do you need to look at the weighing scale every morning?
How about eating? of course you miss those days when you eat more than your pocket can, but now that you've acheived your target weight, can you go back to eating too much?

Yup, I do look at the weighing scale every morning. Kaye Lopez posted something about maintaining your ideal weight in the mtbbabes forum one time, and it stuck to my mind because it was so simple - it's ok to eat more, as long as you burn off the extra calories by exercising more.

i was a 200 pounder behemoth before.as in piggin out everytime. the super supreme feast from pizza hut the one that has the family sized super supreme, side dishes, garlic bread and kit kats,i can down those in one sitting. 6 hot dog sandwiches, 3 bigmacs 2 mc chickens,so on an so fort.i ballooned up. lucky me i was able to shed off most of it in a matter of months. after 6 worked for me, became more active, then finally tried increasing my metabolism rate by eating anything in small portions no matter how frequent. then the best part.....biking. Now i am able to maintain my body weight and able to pig out once in a while without worrying about gaining weight and stuff.as long as i bike regularly

you can eat as much as you want as long as you burn the excess calories by exercising or biking.
i've shed weight also. a lot of folks noticed, too. funny though when i weighed myself on the, i only lost 8 lbs. but when i look in the mirror and from the clothes i wear, it seems that i've lost 20 lbs. i think i gained some muscle mass somewhere, hehe.

Mantaining, gaining, or losing body weight is just playing around with your Energy Balance. Energy balance is the balance of food intake versus the 3 things that burn or metabolize foodstuff. Namely, resting metabolic rate, thermic effect of food (the energy you burn digesting food), and thermic effect of activity (exercise and just plain moving around). If one side of the energy balance is greater, it will tip the scales toward the heavier side. If balanced ang input sa output, you'll just maintain your weight. But the older you get, the lower the RMR becomes so a decrease in energy intake is needed to maintain the balance.

Hmmmmm.. I think weighting yourself every day is not good idea because what happen if you didnt improve as much as you want. This may end up you losing your motivation to exercises. Dont get wrong I do check my weight every time I go to the gym but I'm not concern a lot. Because the scale is to big and looks likes inviting you stand over it . I agree with Idol..just playing around and see your body reaction to it. It also lots of thing to do with your family gene and eating habits. I do eat a lot, no diet and lots of Maxbuwaya suggestion eating pizza ;D but as soon as I know i'm above my limit I increase my exercises of intensity. Also I always avoid fat as possible. If you really want to lose weight...you need discipline and eat least exercises more.
