yesterday i saw an all-carbon fork at quiapo, retailing for P1500. It was cheaper and lighter than the carbon forks with aluminum steerer tubes.
my question is: are they any good? my worry is that generic all-carbon forks pose a higher risk of snapping, just like what happened to George Hincapie at a recent Paris-Roubaix race.

personally, for P1.5k, and against all reason, i'd give it a try. do they have a 1" steerer or just 1 1/8"? btw: hincapie was using an aluminum steerer

There is a limit on the max allowable height if carbon fiber steerer, I thinks its 40 cm. You can with Hermie of Velocity. Since Im tall I have to settle with the alum steerer, Easton.

Yeah Marco brad...for that price , I d give it a try ..spinning in a controlled course with no rough stuff until your confidence in the product increases Im still saving for a frame ...sigh
