i plan to get one of the following @ kings for my xc bike
a.)deore 05 octalink (2.3K w/o bb) b.)truvativ isoflow w standard ISIS BB (1.7k sale) c.) Fsa? (1.8 w/o bb)
w/c of the three is most durable, same time light and "sulit"...to be used sa aggressive xc Thanks in advance!

look for truvativ fiveD cranks. Square tapered bottom bracket (tougher than the isis BB). BB costs only around 300. Cranks are around 1.5k maybe less.

(1.8 w/o bb) w/c of the three is most durable, same time light and "sulit"...to be used sa aggressive xc Thanks in advance! brad, get the LX '03 cranks. its 2.8k + BB .65k. why get this one? weighs only 920 grams. dont know about the deore '05 octalink though. if it weighs less than the LX '03 crankset, then go for deore '05. note that the LX '05 cranks weighs at 920 grams as well except for the outboard bearing feature. go deore 05 and use a bottom bracket that uses outside bearing, more reliable ... unfortunately the deore '05 doesn't have the outboard bearing feature. its actually part of the crank as some might put it. the deore '05 relies on an octalink BB.

1) Truvative Stylo for the money and performance. 2) Race Face Deus (lightest crank from Race face) 3) FSA Team Carbon Pro...
Truvative Stylo is very affordable and so is the Race Face Deus...FSA hmmmm a little on the high side.
All of these are for X-Country riding..
