guys need help ;D would anyone see these kind of chain guides around LBS's: i plan to get one of those, (not the bike, the chain guide only ;D) zeus (our DH buddy) said there's one at elixir bike shop in cartimar for P1,500 but maybe anyone saw a cheaper one. i don't know how you exactly call it but it looks like one of those double plated chain/bash guides like the one in atomyk's norco! i really love the E-thirteen chain/bash but it's sooooo expensive hehehe, i can only have my budget around 1k ;D thanks in advance guys

I just saw one sa Robinson's Galleria--sa Store Shop yata. Didn't ask for the price though and didn't get a close look, coz I wasn't really looking for this.

donThose I ride with during sundays, mga taga-pasay, have someone who customizes bashguards for them, ok nman. Better ask Simon, if you catch him on either sats or sundays, I think he has one of these installed.

@ bee : boss oo nga that's the MRP chainguide! pero mahaaaaal yan ;D
@ endoboy : brad i don't plan to buy the MRP (la na pera hehehe) i just am confused at first on what to actually call it. now i know, it's the chainguides with the sandwich type design.
@ bobby : yeah i've been talking to some people who customizes them and will see what happens
@ jeps : pre kamusta? don't worry i'll txt you the results then i'll send you a pic of what i will have if ever i end up with those. but i'm pretty sure that my friend's not talking about the MRP kasi ang mura e alam ko mahal ung MRP.
well i've been thinking that if the Truvativ boxed type chainguides could do the trick. and it could also be possibly lighter perhaps than the sandwich type chainguides, kaya lang ang problema kasi is half lang ung nako cover ng crank plate. what i'm after for the MRP type is that it covers the whole crank, so that the teeth would be protected sa mga bato or roots or anything that will hit it and will damage the crank, sayang naman.
so what do you think guys? i'mma go to quiapo n cartimar today to check out some LBS if they have it, if not, malamang ang bagsak ko is the boxed type na truvativ chain guidethen use my stock truvativ bashguard

Try to do this kung pu-pwede... I think it would work. You can mix the Truvativ Box Guide with the Plastic Bashguard being sold by Raven (or your existing truvativ bashguard). A little tweak here and there, it should work. jeps, nata ta nawara ka ning haloy??? Cheers, Bee

Am OK Fairy Ko Urban Bandit Don!! I was about to make a reply but was able to read the post of Bee, the BoxGuide and Lexan Bashguard (being sold by Raven) will do the job pare. Pero teka I think I saw your post na LF sa Components thread and naka lagay dun for dual chainring?? If its for dual chainring yung Boxguide/Lexan Bashguide wont work kasi pang single plato lang yun, E 13 lang ata ang may DRS, pero may balitang Truvativ will come up with its own DRS come ’06. Cgurado mas mura yan kesa sa E –13. Im on a hunt din eh, for my Dual Chainring Holzfeller. ( Tip yan sakin ni Japayuking Basti ) jeps, nata ta nawara ka ning haloy??? Cheers, Bee Raot Raot Home Internet Connection ko Kuya and went to Manila last week kaya na Miss mo akong masyado ;D ;D Mizyahlotz din Papa HoneyBee

@ konan : brad what i meant was double plated heheh but i'll use my holzfeller 36T and i do believe na pwede na yung ke raven na lexan plus the chainguide, future loading na rin kasi baka mag 40T din ako balang araw para sigurado hehehe.
@ Bee : idol, are one of your daughters available for marriage? hehehe

@ endoboy : that's right! i'm looking for the double plated ones that sandwiches the crank itself actually. endoboy meron nga sa quiapo pero mahal ung Dabomb 4k+ then there's this custombuilt chainguide na parang MRP ang style medyo mura @ 2800 the problem is it's only set to run 40T and above, di pwede sakin coz i'll use 36T. baka magpasadya nalang ako.
@ konan : yeah brad thanks ha. by the way, it's not for my urban bike...it's for my "black plan" nothing big though ;D ingat sa rides
