any personal reviews on this type of helmet? i'm currently using MOB "dirt lid" helmet. Used it for a couples of years and plan to upgrade nga sa 661 mullet. Kaso lang madaming nagbebenta sa forum!? bakit? dehins ba maganda ang fit kasi one size fits all? Kasi my experience sa MOB is the helmet slides down and cover my eyes during "matagtag" na DH..same ba sa 661 mullet?

ok ang mullet... my friend just bought one. one size fits all pero it comes w 3 paddings, small, med and large... the mullet is very comfortable raw compared w the 661 dirt lid (which is exactly like the MOB). super cheap pa!

i checked some review on both 661 mullet(1250php) and azonic skid lid(1400php) ..mas mataas ng konti ang rating for the skid lid. Might get the skid lid instead kasi mas madaming vent(less mainit during long trails).

thanks for the reviews! btw i saw yung skid lid of azonic..similar to the mullet mas mahal lang ng konti? anu kaya mas ok sa dalawa? ;D i'm using the skid lid. haven't use a mullet before but the vents does it's job quite well but it's not comparable with the XC bike helmets regarding air flow. i used to have a skateboard type helmet with just holes and the skid lid is cooler but these types of helmet were not designed with better airflow in mind. this lid also whistles at high speed especially if you turn your head to the side... (or is just that i have an empty head... hehehe) one thing i can say about the skid lid is it's pretty darn heavy which is only suitable for jump parks and dirt jumps when you don't necessarily wear it for a long time. i only use it on trails because it's all that i have. consider the type of riding you will do before buying a helmet, safety is always our concern but consider comfort and looks also!!! hehehe.... here's a pic of the skid lid in action... hehehe (sorry, i can't do jumps yet)

sir, thanks for the skid lid review! at least the vents work pero heavygat pala ;D i don't have any budget din kasi for a xc helmet the cheapest i saw is aroung 2k++ not considering MOB's. So stick na lang ako to "skateboard" type helmets kahit it looks awkward when doing xc in sta rosa kasi most riders use xc type helmets..pero sabi nga ng iba its in the rider..if its comfy and ok naman!

i had xc helmet too.. a black trek which costed me way above my budget (3K) now i'm more comfortable with my vigor sk8 which i got from all terra at 750php. sarap pang urban. vents just right and survives multiple crashes as iba yung foam protection nya unlike yung xc helmet ko.. pinagtripan ni boyet C na tadtarin ng stickers nung napadaan ako ng powerbikes kahapon.. thank you papa boyet!!! ;D pero shempre pag trails, siguro xc helmet gagamitin ko...

commuting lang? ako cap lang... ;D pero syempre not advisable, mas ok pdin may proteksyon sa buko. ang light lang nman kcna helmets eh mga xc helmets. dirt jump helmets are intended for that purpose only, pag tumatalon lang. msyado mbigat for commuting only.

in short.. mas malakas ang protection ng djhelmets? tama ba? e bakit mas mura siya? Because of the level of technology put into it... An DJ helmet is strong but also heavy so not much design needed there. An XC helmet needs to be strong and light at the same time. As is generally true with all bike parts, the lighter you go, the more expensive it becomes.

aidzI am using a Michelin MX Sport helmet, which I bought at 1,600. AFAIK it is the cheapest XC helmet second to MOB.

skild lid is available @ kings 1.5k pero L/XL lang and sa Endurance 1.4k both sizes meron. Sa kanila ko binili yung sakin tipid pa sa commute kasi malapit lang sila samin.

look for a Protec helmet (ACE edition). It's usually used for skateboard.A bit expensive(Php2400) but its worth the price :)wont fall off even w/out the strap

rickyM my kababayan!
i think the one you saw is the specialized Deuce helmet, it's for urban/dirt/4x, just like the mullet. dati meron nyan sa kings pero mas mahal sya. pero ang ganda nung black version noh?
