Biker X Biker X !!! You own this particular model diba? XCP75 DJ My cousin have been using such fork for trailriding for about 8 months na rin ata, so far so good pa naman for his type of riding. For the price ( Php 2,600.00 ba Xtian? ) I think its a good buy. Good luck brad

Great value for money, although I feel its too plush for what I do with it, it functions well, of course compared to Marz DJ3 (I tried vertigo's bike) malayo ng konti. Same quality in the seals. It may be a bit heavier (konti lang) kasi coil - elastomer. I heard suntour manufactures Marz taiwan forks dunno if its true.
I saw Milo jump 5 feet with it (the fork depressed 4"). The max travel according to the shop owner is 4.5" rated travel is 5".
You may want to ask the price from other shops baka mas mura. I got mine for Php2,500 but I heard you can get it cheaper.

Suntour is an old name in the cycling business Value for money is what they offer. Our service bikes have suntour forks, abused them for 5 years..couldn't break them

Biker X Biker X !!! You own this particular model diba? XCP75 DJ yep. you have a dark, sinister plan pala that's why you're asking hehe Been using my XCP-DJ (fitted in my humble HT trailbike sa province) for around five months. It doesn't have any pretensions of being an 'uber excellent' fork because as with many low-end forks it has its share of flaws - tolerable ones but flaws nonetheless (well, that is based on my usage and some friends' feedback as well) In my experience I found the stock coil springs too soft for my taste - even if you max'd out the preload (this model has twin external adjusters). It hasn't bottomed out on me yet (biggest drop is around 3ft on my HT) but it felt flexy at times esp. when you are pumping the fork before going for air in a ramp or hump or whatever. Also adds a degree of difficulty in steep climbs because of the long travel (120mm, roughly 4.7") and the soft springs. Other than that, the XCP-DJ is very plush on the downhills (plusher than my MZ-Comp or even the EXR. It actually felt similar to the handling of a Splice 130mm which is triple the price and not as flex-free as the Zokes ) and quite responsive in big and small bumps. looks sexy and bad-a$$. No V-brakes bosses (which could be a good or bad thing). Easily removable decals in case you want it no frills and pure biz black. It's also the OEM fork for the Iron Horse Warrior Trail and the Yakuza Chimpira model. bottomline: for its price of 2.6-2.9k (depending on jane's mood hehe) you can't touch this mutha the best-bang-for-tha-buck tag certainly applies here

ive had mine for quite some time..cant say anything bad about it so far..i think it will hold up, quality wise seems A ok! Tried it for freeride I agree that its a bit too plush! Thats a + for XCs! I think it would be more suited for an XC bike more than freeriding ;D

looking at their website, what is better (for XC), DURO, AXON, XCP or XCPro? Specifications wise, ano ang mas maganda (what is better?) hydro/spring or air systems? Are both suntour systems reliable?
Lastly, how about the prices? THANKS!!!

Let me share this article I found on SR Suntour. I didn't pay much attention back then but I remember now that as a young biker back in the early 80's I saw the Suntour brand very often in "racers" in the airbase where I grew up. The younger bikers today don't seem to identify SR Suntour (the current name) as a major contender in the market (for a significant period even leading the US market ahead of Shimano). Here's the link: "Sunset for Suntour" www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~hadland/page35.htm

i've been using suntour fork and it is still working good. and no problem found so far. it doesn't bottom out with 6feet drops or jumps. im 150lbs 5'8"/ xc and part time jumper u can make a lot of fork 'not bottom out' w/ most drops... u actually want it to bottom every now and then. But do u want to be doing drops w/ a budget fork like that? i wonder how many of those u can do regularly before it folds. it's up to the individual i guess... u better be REALLY smooth. P2,600... most real Mavic rims will cost more than this fork. $55 CDN ....like buying 2 sets of ODI lock-on grips.... or 1 michelin DH tire .... or a FSA pig headset.... or I'll stick w/ riding XC with it. GBB, u got -18 karma points... i got -23!!! i was wondering what that was until i figured it out. guess i piss'd people off more than u. mybe i should just stick to singing praises all the time.
