RST Gila is Coil / MCU spring, 3" (76mm) travel Externally adjustable preload, Cold forged aluminum crown, Cro-Moly stanchions, Universal disc brake mount
What series for Suntour XCP? Understand there are three type the SF-XCP75/SF-XCP75/LO or XCP75-DJ. XCP75 and DJ both coil spring (80 to 120 mm)travel, adjustable preload, STKM stachion tube, disc brake mount. For which is SF-XCP-LO is coil/hydralic.
I have two friends using this kind of fork. Usually their are weekend riders and their own personal observation alright for XC riding.

I have both MZ comp italian air
and XCP 75 Lockout
Ok naman suntour mura siya dahil sa lock out, problem nga lang is ang bagal ng rebound. kaya pag andyan na ang mabato parang wala ng laro.
MZ comp, ok naman pero halos doble presyo c0ompared with XCP 75 and walang lockout, but you get to choose the stiffness dahil air nga siya.
If you have the money go for marzochhi products.
Its worth buying than suntours

i'm no XC rider but just wanna pitch in my piece....
lock-out for me personally is not useful. i had a Zocchi Z1 5" travel w/ a lock-out once. i never really used it, well i did when it was new so i wanted to try it out, but afterwards i just find that body positioning was more impt when you're climbing anyways. i like the fact that my fork is still active even when i'm climbing. now i have a dual crown on my bike and i can still climb no problem, well lots of problem actually but that is due to my legs and not the fork. he3

Sir Vranz/Diver 19,
Have tried both RST and Suntour, but im not sure of the model ng RST... currently using XCP 95. Puro entry level forks lang kase entry-level din lang ang skills ko.
I prefer Suntour's performance compared to RST.... at mas magaan yung suntour ng konti. Never had issues with the rebound, kaya lang medyo payatitot ako... I think your weight would make the difference. Agree ako with the lock-out feature.... not that important para sakin.
If you have the budget, go for Marzocchi's. Sabi nga nila, get the best your money can buy... you get to save in the long run coz you wont be upgrading.
