has anybody tried these? they seem like good wheelsets on paper, have held them in my hands and they are light! the reviews on mtbr say a lot of good things (and minimal negatives) about these thingies...but would still like to know if anyone local has tried them for specs, see: www.canecreek.com/site/product/wheels/product/09_zonos_disc_team.html

Ted, how much this baby cost? The reviews seems okey few riders even look on the cane creeks wheelset for reason it does not have the looks of Mavic, and considering the price in the US: MTB Store Cane Creek Zonos 26 wheel, SS/24h front - black $180.00 MTB Store Cane Creek Zonos-Disc 26 wheel, SS/28h front - blk $232.50 MTB Store Cane Creek Zonos 26 wheel, SS/28h rear - black $239.40 MTB Store Cane Creek Zonos-Disc 26 wheel, SS/28h rear - blk $292.60 Most riders rather go with CK Hubs/Mavic XC717/DT Revo at that price range.... I would

I would really? hmmm, the units i saw have Ti spokes (28), cane creek hubs (nice spin!) and rims...shelf-price - PhP35k in Negros...or about US$625 at todays exchange rate...about PhP 8K less than the Crossmax. not as showy as the Crossmax but very cool looking up close

btw, from what i gather, a pair of chris king hubs alone here cost the same as a pair of DT hugi 240s...roughly PhP27K! add a pair of 717s (w/c i heard are not strong at all) for 5.6K, and a set of revos for 4.4K, you get a total of PhP37,000 then maybe figure in a store discount of 2k on the whole set....so your estimate warlock is pretty close. but don't think i trust those 717s...my 517s are reputedly much more reliable and durable than the new Mavics

not as showy as the Crossmax but very cool looking up close Honestly, wheelsets from Mavic, Cane creek or Shimano are way really cool... But thinking on of servicing them in the long run, like spoke breakage, hub repacking or repair...you cant do those stuff locally in the case of Mavic, I'm not sure with Cane Creek & Shimano either. Well if you're after the Bling factor...... ;D guess you know my answer for that.... Buy lang ng Buy!
