As some of you may know I just shifted from Maxxis 2.3 to WTB motoraptors 2.1 tires 2 months ago. I've clocked around 300km with these tires. These tires are great, they have good traction and control and sheds mud fairly well. Problem is the knobs wore out much more quickly than I expected in the rear(I counted 40) while the front is still ok. I don't skid my tires very often and even if I do... should they have worn out that quickly? Any similar experiences?

am also using motoraptors although it's the 2.4 version. This is only an assumption: if you're using your tires both in road and off-road riding, wear and tear will be accelerated. full nubbies like the motoraptors tend to wear out quicker if constantly used in pavement/asphalt (daw) in touring mode. (of course many times we have to pedal going to the trail head right?) but i've read that generally they wear better than Maxxis tires, in particular the High-rollers, mobsters, ignitors and the likes. motos are not exactly nokians (they wear great daw ) but i figure they cn't be that far behind

Tnx for the repiles.
Maxxis last longer, my old pair lasted me 2 years. Im thinking of getting the Maxxix Minotaur or Kraken for my rear and Calibos for my front next time.

Depende yan sa lambot ng rubber compounds Yung malambot na compounds sticky, good for slippery, wet trails, roots kaso madali mapudpod.
Yung hard compound like sa minion etc, matagal mapudpod, generally madali ipedal sa roads, pero not as grippy
Dun ako sa mura at matagal mapudpod

Ganyan din ang philosophy naming mga F1 drivers with my no.2 driver schumacher
