bought my bike a year ago, but only been using it very recently (as in 1 week ago he he) i don't know what kind of punishment this frame can take. nalulula ako dun sa mga nakikita ko na ibang mga bikers naka gts m4, specialized m5 etc etc kinakabahan tuloy ako kung ano lang ba puwede ko gawin dito?

my trusty steed is a 7+ yr old stumpy m2 HT. still no cracks and rides like the day i got it. and believe me, used to do small jumps and drop-offs before.
so your m4 can take all the beatings you can give it for years and years. it's one tough frame.

mad_doc, i never climbed a hill better than on my M4 SJ hardtail (oops, maybe i spoke too soon), and could never cut a singletrack like i do with my M4 SJ...and on moderate speeds downhill, hehehe, she's one sweet bike. jump it at speed and you're still in control! she's stiff (which i like), and light (which i also like!). am curious, what tires do you have on your bike? did you put on a set of Roll-X? if not, would recommend them...those tires are great and fast on the dirt and add a level of cush that my previous nokians couldn't give. only drawback is they are too sticky on pavement...good thing that doesn't happen too often

;D uyyy...... I've got a specialized stumpjumper and this bike never fails to amaze me. Wheter it's hanging on my bike stand or when i'm using it on trails. The steering of this bike is very crisp and solid. I specially like the way the bike performs specially on uphill climbs.
Heck Ned Overend uses this bike for competing and for recreational purposes.
If you're going to upgrade your tires I would suggest the Maxxis Ranchero. It's fast on pavement and grips well Off road.

gulli san ba nakakabili nyan tires na roll x and how much? vt2, try mo sa dealers ng specialized, have seen these tires at their shops: - Kings - Powerbikes - Extreme kanya-kanyang pricing sila meaning discounts apply w/ regular customers i got mine through kings...ingat ka lang, maraming fake na specialized and personally can't tell. ask of these bike shops and they may be able to tell you. good luck! you can also contact Dan of Dan's Bike Shop. his showroom shop is at petron dasmarinas (Edsa nr corner Pasay rd). may soft opening ang shop nya very, very soon. baka ma-advise ka nya. btw, he doesn't sell directly price? hmmm, if i remember right mga 1250 @ ata sila very good reviews, and after several rides, totally agree ;D

We have the same frame. Nasa porma and magaan. According from Specialized website this is the best light hardtail they produced in market.
