Jon, Is it possible to do Baguio in 1 day(24hrs) on MTBikes? How about the return ride, will you guys ride bus on your way home or padyak pa din? For me, Baguio is a dream ride.

Is my computation right? If they average 20kph pace, 250kms/20 = 12.5hrs Doable nga! But they also need to rest and replenish. I wonder what would be the Laguna Loop halimaw's ave pace this time?

Yes, I believe it was between 19 to 20 kph. Slightly slower sa uphill. ;D ;D ;D
We took alot of time to eat, rest, and take lots of pictures. Hehe
I believe it's doable in 24 Hrs or less...

yup it can be done on a mtb...correct me brus if i'm wrong coz i can no longer remember exactly...he left libis around 4am and reached baguio around 7 or maybe 8pm...that would be around 15-16hrs.
he was alone (that means not a lot of distraction and ek ek) and traveling light...just the same he got there shivering prolly due exhaustion...for a large group of say more than 10, even strong riders, malabong ma-achieve yan...so 20 hrs or more would be more realistic...depende rin siguro sa disiplina and attitude of the riders.

This is doable. I left around 420am from Eastwood. Got to SM Baguio at around 830pm. I brought nothing but a bottle and the usual tool kit with me. A bottle will do, for you have water stations along the way. Make sure though that you have a full bottle by the time you get to the entry point of Kenon road. Once you make that turn, there will be no more water stations. However, thirst wouldn't be a problem since it will be a chilly ascent. Proof for the skeptics: s192.photobucket.com/albums/z225/brusko74/Baguio%20Solo/?action=view¤t=BaguioSolo.flvYou can do it: if you have the inspiration and of course, Time.
