I bought a zefal cleaning kit sa Newton (mas mura yata parang P400) Ok yon kasi may brush na panglinis ng loob ng bladder, meron din panglinis ng loob ng hose.
I was disgusted to see the water coming out of the hose after I brushed it... cloudy yun tubig...kadiri hehehe ... sarap pa naman ng higop ko

For those who are not as lucky as Staind, try looking at the Camelbak cleaning kit (saw one at Storeshop). Napakadaling gayain ;D U can try also a teaspoon of chlorine to a fully filled bladder/hose, say monthly (preferably after the ride). Let it stay overnight then drain/rinse thoroughly. Helps kill the germs man!

Sometimes in long use the bladder give a bad water taste and create build up on the hose. You can use regular dish washing sponges with soap but the hose you need a special cleaning tool. To avoid the bad taste use baking soda ones in a while with hot water overnight.. hope this help.

Yong, as jr stated, after cleaning with soap or bleach (chlorox -- see oilman's instructions above, very effective in killing germs) put 2-4 tablespooons of baking soda (depending on bladder size) in the bladder full of water then leave overnight. it'll freshen up your bladder of odors and tastes (esp. after bleaching it!).
but personally, i still need the brushes to clean the hose. i feel uneasy using it (even after having done the above) without having brushed the hose. pahiram na lang ng brush kit! ;D sino ba meron dyan?
whoa... S P O O N S changes to thingy if you type it. here goes... spoon.

if possible...don't fill up your bladder with energy drink especially with sugar content. this is the No. 1 cause of mildew build-up sa bladder. pangit namang tingnan sumisipsip ka sa maitim na tubo lalo na yung lasa. use the bottle instead. kung di maiiwasan, linisin nyo na lang ang pagkatapos gamitin (baking soda is good periodically) saka ilagay sa ref ang bladder after EVERY use. jr and i have the same way of doing it. it's proven! garantisadong tatagal ang bladder nyo. di nyo na magagamit parati ang brush.

For cleaning the bladder try using ice cubes and rock salt then shake it all around. Its safe and effective,

bought a hydration pack cleaning/brush kit for P450 (tag price is P490) at powerbikes. just finished cleaning my bladder so am ready to rock tomorrow! used hot water after rinsing to take out the soap smell (and taste hopefully). will check again later if i need baking soda to freshen it up.
