hi guys,
i just want to share this incident that happened to my group this morning at paseo de sta rosa. this is not about a stolen bike, but rather valuables stolen in our vehicle during our ride.
THE RIDE:
we started 9am from paseo de sta rosa, today, sunday morning. very late as we waiting for a friend who came from the airport direct from san francisco (kaya nyo yun? walang tulog tulog yun)... our group MTB south consists of 10 members but only 3 of us were available today. me, mark and capt. charles.
we pedalled fast enough to reach lugawan by 11am. then our plan was check out anniversary trail and circus trail on the way down. we failed to find both routes...
sobrang excited lang siguro kami because of cap's new frame, na sobrang na enjoy namin yung pababa from upak to duck trail. i would have to say, it was the best duck trail ever, sobrang good condition yung trail this weekend.
we got to paseo around 2pm.
THE INCIDENT:
sobrang badtrip pala ang feeling loosing your wallet or cellphone, moreso if you find your friend's car window broken and have your wallet, cellphone etc. etc. stolen!!! i sincerely apologize to mark whose jazz was the main victim in this incident. his rear passenger window was broken just to get my stuffs.
mark's vehicle was parked just accross national bookstore in paseo de sta rosa alongside cap's and besides other biker's vehicles also. there should be around 20 cars and trucks with bike racks at the parking lot that day.. although guards were visible, the guard on duty moved away from our parking area for only 15minutes (according to him) to another spot and it was when he returned to our vehicle that he noticed our broken window.
incident happened between 12noon to 12:30pm.
anyway, i would just like to warn everyone. that our vehicles are good targets for criminals who will take advantage of our absence while biking. may it be sta rosa, maarat or other bike areas, please park at well guarded and less risky areas.
refrain from bringing important and valuable belongings during rides. (this i learned the very hard way)
i'm pretty sure i will never get my very important items back again. but i can only pray for justice that this incident will never happen again.
thanks guys.
