hi ten:
heard from the sta rosa boys that one portion of the route (traversing one gated subdivision) going to reverse palace has already dis-allowed entry to bikers practically making paseo to reverse palace (via canlubang) inacessible.
any comment from the sta rosa boys? rkoa, jibber, sheose, etc.

Hi Sir Arci, Ten,
There was indeed an instance where bikers were not allowed by the guards to pass the road leading to Calamba Golf club. However, after some persuasion from the bikers, the guard allowed them to pass.
According to the guard, bikers were not allowed to pass because it was for their own safety. As shared by the guard, according to some golfers (in their cars), bikers tend to block the whole road.
That was two weeks ago. However, just last Saturday, my officemates were allowed to pass through by the guards without any qualms.
I guess in order to pass through, you have to traverse that road in single file and maybe pass in small groups.

I usually bike alone long rides or in a small group of 3 to 4 bikers.
From paseo I will bike all the way to calamba golf course via greenfields? is that right?

@ten,
I am not familiar with Greenwoods. But I normally traverse this route: From Paseo we pass through Greenfields (passing the hospital and the single track), Sta. Elena Golf club, Wyeth, and then to Calamba Golf club.
BTW. There is another way going up to Tagaytay which, according to some riders, is more difficult that the reverse-palace. This route passes through Calamba going up to Tagaytay Highlands. If you want to take this route I suggest you PM Rey aka 'mtbrider06'.

If you were to travel using your bike, follow this route: C5 - East Service road (thru Bicutan, Sucat, Alabang) - National Road (thru Munt., San Pedro, Binan, Sta. Rosa) - Turn right to Balibago-Tagaytay road - Paseo de Sta. Rosa If you were to travel using you car: C5 - Take SLEX and exit Sta. Rosa toll plaza - Turn right going to Tagaytay - Paseo de Sta. I can't recall all the details but it was said that an accident happen involving one of the drivers of the utility service vehicles and a certain cyclist...fault was on the utility driver who hit the cyclist.
