I had a similar experience years ago at the Quezon City Main Post Office (near BIR). I went there on my MTB to mail a letter. The guard at the main gate would not let me in because "Bawal po ang naka-bisikleta!"
I asked him if they also turn away messengers on bikes and he couldn't give me an answer.
Poor guard, I guess he was just parroting the management's policy on bicycles so I didn't insist. (Besides he was carrying a 12-gauge shotgun).
Before I left I told him, "Kung babalik akong naka-tsikot, papapasukin mo na ba ako?" I pedalled away before he could answer. I was deliberately being sarcastic.
I wonder if they now allow bikes there.

our bike 's costs a lot. yes! they are peanuts to the ayalas, but basically, most of us here OWNS A BIKE WHICH COSTS MORE THAN A SECOND-HAND CAR!@
--->>> IGNORANCE of SECURITY PEOPLE! SUCKS MAN! I do believe that the management want the mall to be as inviting to everyone, even for bad doers! but they hire security agencies who has security guards, advisers, and supervisors who basically lack RATIONAL THINKING! Stupid people! Y they hiring stups? hmmmnnn....
best thing to do? don't promote these kind of establishments, tell friends about the way they treat riders and they'll believe you! coz your rich man! it's not right for you to be treated like that by stupid security people!
Fact: you can bring your bike along with you inside an airport! you don't need to put it in a box if your going for a local flight!! just don't ride it inside. ok?!

Hello guys, For reference, I'm sharing this experience earlier with the said establishment. I came via MindAve and the sentry guard outside pointed me inwards to the covered parking area to park. Then maybe with a chance of luck, the guard at the motorcycle parking informed me I cannot park my bike there. So I said "Where do I park then?" with appreciative smiles and courtesy, the guard told me they don't have any bicycle parking in the facility. And if I wanted to, I can park with the motorcycles but I have to pay since that area in the first level parking is for motorcycles. I told them "This bike ain't a motorized vehicle, so why should I pay?" Gladly they let me chain my bike up the railings, even assisting me in the process. While doing so, I told them "As far as I know, Ayala Malls are bike-friendly, so why should Trinoma be any different?" The guard can only shrug his shoulders, though still smiling and telling me its really a great idea just like what they implemented with these motorcycles. Another guard's telling me though "Baka daw kasi magalit," if ever their supervisor see my bike up there, though I assured them they will not, anyway its a plus to see a bicycle parked there coz Ayala Malls are known for their bike friendliness. So far the experience was good. All of them guards are very courteous indeed, apart from my low profile tattered appearance and stinking jersey, they answered my queries and gave me relieving smiles. Some guard even led me to the parking area personally when I got lost coming from the mall. No need to be mad at them. Maybe they need some reorientation on where to park bicycles . I cannot be mad coz they really are courteous people, which are some leagues apart from the guards at the establishment upfront. Some signages at the entrance and a map just like what another thread showcased about Ayala Makati parking can be good. So Sir Boy, maybe we can oversee its implementation if ever it is really not yet over with? I'll be glad to participate since Trinoma is a good place to hang out.

i just thought, maybe the management just want the bikes to be safe. Like they're avoiding bicycles because they want to keep their hands clean in cases of stolen bikes in their parking area, or something like that...

i remember when i was in park square 2, for a fedex thing,, i have my DH bike with me. the guard said " boy bawal bike dito" angas!! boy!! then i ask for a parking for bike.. then he point out the rack with other messenger bikes.. ( no offense ) but this is my race bike.. so i just ask for the guard if it is secure.. they said " di na namin sagot yan " then sabi sabi ko.. " wala ba kayong pakielam sa mga nagpupunta sa mall nyo?? " then he replied " basta wala kaming pakielam dyan.. bike lang yan dun mo lagay yan " what an answer... kahit na i know na di secured ung bike ko.. ung sabihin lang na " sir dun na lang po.. titignan tignan na lang namin yan, pasensya na bawal bike dito sa tapat ng park square " then ill be much happier.. then im so Fk up that linait ko tuloy ung bike na iba.." eh kahit pagsamahin mo ung lahat ng bike dyan isama mo pa yang rack at motor na yan.. di nyo mabibili to!! walang kwenta pala dito "... then off i go..
i do understand if it is bawal, kahit bike ni beaver L dala ko or bike na pang pandesal.. they should render the respect to us. regardless of the bike we have.. isipin nyo matinong DH bike na dala ko.. wat if a regular commuter bike lang?? baka nasigawan pa... tsk tsk...
thats why my dream for our bikes is to get the artista level of exposure.. once we approach a mall, they will just say politely, " sir dun po mga parking ng mga bikers "

sir Boy, Thanks for that lightning-quick response, that is 5 chillis for you sir Those racks are placed adjacent the motorcycle parking and in fact, I chained my bike up there first coz they look like bike racks til they told me their case of using it as "halang". Glad Mr. Hernandez is there to mediate the issue. I'll give the guys a visit again and see if they are informed this time Thanks again. More power to you and Ayala @boss Arnel, miss you na boss, Happy Birthday extendead, OT: I believe that guard's misis let him sleep on the floor the night before haha, what a poor guy Anyways I suggest we go talk to people who can really help us like their facility supervisor or such bonafide personalities as sir Boy here and then oversee whether necessary actions were taken the next time. Obviously at standpoint these lowly guard wouldn't help us directly. We need not be mad on misinformed people or people who just plainly had a hard time last night. Let's give them a chance to appreciate the community than detract from it. See ya at TriNoma

Is Trinoma ready to accommodate 100 bikes?
WHo knows if one of these days we have a Trinoma ride, then the usual suspects show up in complete attendance?
Just wondering...
I haven't been to TriNoma, but I guess now's the time!

sir boy:
thanks for the super fast action. i just have a suggestion. (hopefully, i can raise a point) hopefully, the management WILL educated their security guards about bicycle commuting, irregardless of a few hundred pesos or hundred thousand pesos worth of bicycles that are ready to park in their area. they need to know that everyone who parks their rides deserves respect, needs proper orientation or decorum on their approach especially to bicycle commuters... (we are discriminated)...so much...

this thread gets me thinking. what if........
1) i park my bike in trinoma (before mall hours). i wonder if they will allow it. 2) ride the mrt. 3) get down at ayala 4) get my 2nd commuter bike from an ayala parking lot. (i also wonder if the bike can be left overnight). 5) ride with a happy face to the office.
then hopefully i can do this when going home, he he he.

I hope in time ( along one that is ) facilities like that would be readily available. Don't wonder, they wont allow you to park before mall hours for security purposes. And the MRT stations exits and entrances leading to EDSA itself was supposed to accommodate bicycles. If not why did they design it that way? Isn't it a mass railway transit? Or it is an emergency exit? I do hope writing a letter to the administration would allow us to park and ride. That would not be a hard thing to accomplish for the general biking public. But i think this will a long time in the making.
