Been to trinoma mall several times before since its opening and I like it especially the openspaces, the greenscapes, and waterscapes. Its something we dont usually see on malls, very nice, I like it a lot.
Last friday since im not really rushing, I tried to go there with my bike to meet my former opismates for casual dinner drink and some other business. Even though the sky is dark and few rains, I'm still a go go! bike bike bike! ....and so I went.
AND THEN THE HORROR! NO PARKING FOR BICYCLES! Been going all over the mall, wet in rain and so very pissed. I approaches over a dozen security guards to where I can chain my bike and to no avail. One of the guards from the motorcycle parking area, even try to dispatch me like a dog. Then I learned from other guards that bicycles are really prohibited at the mall, a same incident occured before me that even the said OIC also denied the parking of the other biker.
Oh well I ended up parking my bike at SM north and walk all the way back to Trinoma...I felt so bad, to experience such discrimination to a mall that promotes love for nature.
BOOO!!! to TRINOMA and the AYALA's!!!

Ironic, coz I expected TriNoMa to be placing bike racks as they did in the Ayala Malls. Hmmmmm...no wonder their ceiling collapses during heavy downpour. Hahahaha This is a job for Ricky and Boy...pero OT ha, I like SM The Block better than this TriNoMa coz its well lit and aircon's sooooooooooo cool. ;D

What's their reason for prohibiting Bicycles in Trinoma? but they allowed it in their other Malls like Glorietta. sayang naman, Trinoma is very spacious.

Guys,
Just got this in my inbox this morning. This came from one of the VPs of Ayala.
I guess Xiaofeng can try parking again in a week's time. I will keep everyone updated on the developments.

If they will provide a place where bikes should be park I hope they will also provide enough security to guard them or even make a system to avoid bike theft... they must know that Trinoma is situated near Agham road where a lot of____ are thriving... Whats the use of parking a bike only with chains where/when someone can easily use a bolt cutter to do his business... I suggest that it would be a cage (with fence like thing, also with an entry exit gate) like place or something that would prohibit the easy access to parked bikes by those who may do some Lupin Stuff... and when you park your rig, there should be a stab that you need to secure (like when we deposit our bagages in malls etc.) that will serve as a proof that you really have a bike inside that area...NO SECURITY STUB, NO ENTRY, NO BIKE TO REDEEM...
I don't know if SM has a "park your bike at your own risk" policy...
a f___'n supermarket in our town does...so I don't park my bike into the provided bike parking located at the Emergency Generator which is almost as big as a coaster... I park my bike directly in front of their side entrance where the tricycle depot is located and tell the guard that I would only buy something in a minute... If a guard would ask me, I ask him back if the management would be liable for a stolen bike and he answers no...THAT REALLY SUCK ! ! !

Good point you raised, Nell, regarding Bike Parking security. There's no point in providing bike park if it ain't secure. Paging seacid, another wonderful suggestion for Trinoma! Speaking about security, would you believe that: Some 25 years ago, I left my camera gears and a tripod inside WaterFun Themepark (beside Ocean Park HongKong) while I spent the whole afternoon sliding and splashing in the waters. Some 3 hours later, the bag was still untouched. It felt safe vacationing in HongKong. Some 10 years ago, I left my bicycle parked on the street unlocked in Japan. 4 hours later, it's still there. It felt good working in Japan. In the Philippines, I park my commuter bike inside my store, lock it, and my staff watching over. The staff has a baseball bat hidden under the table too, just in case. Make Trinoma's parking place heaven for bikers, one thing is for sure. Bikers like me will NOT bother going to SM. Let's proceed to the new Trinoma eat/shop/EB place!!! Cyborg, critical mass ride eh? Right on!
