When the MRT in edsa was built they were saying that the demolished overpass along edsa will be replaced by the terminals hence you can cross edsa via the terminals.
We usually cross highways using pedestrian overpass especially with a bike, my question is have you ever crossed edsa using an mrt terminal with a bike?
My question is particularly for crossing Edsa in Gil Puyat so that crossing Edsa using the Gil Puyat Kalayaan flyover will be avoided.

No I haven't, and I'm also not sure if you can have bikes boarded on the trains of MRT/LRT 1 & 2.

i dont think they (security guards) would allow it pat and even if they allow it you would have to consider a security check and ask you a lot of question why you have this and that.......and one more thing, mrt & lrt terminal are so crowded that you would rather cross the street.

sir patrick,
from a pedestrian's point of view:
if you are just crossing-over from the north lane of EDSA to the south lane (or vice-versa) using the Buendia MRT station overpass , i think it's possible and don't need to pass by security check since you're just passing by a neutral lane (i.e. not entering into the boarding station). Of course the pedestrian traffic during rush hour is another story. remember that you are a pedestrian "carrying a bike".
Good Luck!

Patrick - yes you can cross the overpass on EDSA/ Buendia MRT Station (should you need to go either north or south).

buendia is okay, i think. just don't try it at ayala, there's only 1 set of of stairs from the station to mckinley at in only fits 2 people walking abreast. to tight for carrying a bike

updated on this one. i've seen a guy in ayala station, near kfc, he's got a bike with him. he looks like a bike commuter ergo, most likely you can bring your bike to the station and cross edsa

I alight daily at gil puyat/buendia station, I often see bike commuters during rush hours crossing the station, both south and northbound.

in NY they alllow bikes, roller blades on commuter trains... the only restiriction is that you do not board the train on rush hours... they (MRT/LRT) should start considering the idea of letting bikes on the train...

I wish this would happen But I think it is still far. Bikes are still heavily descriminated as 3rd class Citizen of the road.
