See Im surrounded with people whose into kyosakis "buy what matters most" "invest!,invest, invest", and lot of them told me that buying a DSLR is just a waste of precious money not to mention the upgrades blah blah blah.. so I kinda shy away from it for a long time.. (but I know I want it) looking at my kids play I have lots of "That would looked good in a frame" experience Smiley wala mental photogs na lang or cellfone cam.. kinda regret not having a good camera in hand... hayyy.. lurk lurk lang sa other photographers thread then one night when my kids and I were watching Toy Story 2 I heard Woody said.. "I can't stop Andy from growing up." "But I wouldn't miss it for the world." it strucked me (way deep) the next day I bought a DSLR .. and took pics after pics after pics best gift i had for myself for a long time.. the pics My Kids bye PS not to mention those scenes.. natures and people.. when on two wheels.. will post more soon BTW goin back to this MTBking soon miss the hobby for 10 years currently building a bike .. a friend points me to this forum.. wish i could ride and shoot with some of you soon..

Thanks for sharing lovely pictures of your kids.
Can't help but strike a chord deep in my heart when my kids used to be like yours... young, fresh, innocent, eager. Those were my happiest years spent as a doting father...some 25 ++ years ago.

the pan shots was take at 530pm Canon S5 IS Manual mode 1/30 speed 5.6 opening ISO set to 200. would have a better result kung naka tripod.
Nice color saturation on your Pepsi shot and the Orange play area! what camera are you using?

I share rocky's sentiment. I miss the days when my kids were also that young. Sarap nila kunan ng pics at that age.
Now my kids are young teeners.

I gaze down with pride at my newborn son, I can hold him in the palms of my hands. I know I am standing here, holding the future In this precious little ungrown man. I look at his face, tiny and red, His small hands now hold the key, I see all the promise, and all the dreams, Of all the great things yet to be. I'm filled with awe as I behold another being who will bring color to my world..

Gnob: the picture and the words of the a Nursery scene brings back good memories!!
Don't you guys notice the similarities of MTbiking and Photography? When I started Mtbiking way back in the 90's our group PATBA (Philippine All-Terrain Bicycle Assoc) we were riding for the exitement and adventure of the outdoors, it was an escape from the hectic pace of Metro Manila and little did we realize that we didnt only share the passion for MTbiking, we had also shared the common passion of photography. A lot came from the background of Fine Arts, working with Adverstising outfits and some in the industry of photography. But once on the bike we shared the passion for new trails, scenery and adventure!!!!

yeah Mtbikers aside from the health benefits it also brings us closer to nature... Most weekend warrior I know are artist in my case when looking a an image i really like.. words just pops out... to people who find it too cheesy excuse the poetry Bridge of Tears For my heart was hot and restless, And my life was full of care, And the burden laid upon me Seemed greater than I could bear. I watched as shadows darkened and grew, When an unfortunate fate began to brew, I had to decide what to choose, The Light I did not wish to lose. I chose to continue the direction I'd come, And not turn back where I'd begun. I emerged from the shadows of hate and fear; and successfully crossed over the bridge of tears. gnob

Bong,
You are fortunate to have your photos and poetry, save them (with back ups), grow old and enjoy them over and over again.
I once took up architecture in College but quit because I couldn't make it as a working student. The stupid thing was destroying all my art work as a freshman student in art class. Threw away all the drawings and sketches when we moved house.
I just realized I should have saved them for sentimental value!
Dont make the same mistake I did! Don't ever throw away memories!
