@ gadgets, you're probably the only lucky guy I know... with respect to Canon Philippines Service Center. My old PS70 was a victim of the famous E18, supposed to be rare defect. But I got charged for having them servicing it, on top of that, I have to wait for a month and without a replacement unit. Last November, again, my PS70 succumb to the CCD recall. 2 MONTHS of waiting with no replacement unit. I also know some other people who waited just as long with various models and defects. And to top it all, my PS70 with a new CCD is now pretty much useless, the CCD seems to be very fond of the color yellow. So all the pictures taken with it comes out yellowish. As far as service is concern, Canon Phil. sucks big time. BUT I do agree that there's a couple of cute chick in Canon Phil. Sevice Center. Btw, the CCD recall affects a lot of models and brands. The CCD itself was manufactured by Sony and affected brands such as Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Olympus, Konika Minolta, and Ricoh. Here's a list. Sony CCD recall. Not sure though if the listing was a complete one. P.S. it's "Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda", it has been my signature for quite some time. Thanks for the correction. I should get that 6 in 1 DVD collection and watch the sexlogy all over again. Sorry to hear your bad experiences with Canon. That's very bad. That's one million negative pogi points for them! I had very bad experiences with Pentax, both film and digital units, and the service that came afterwards. Granted, electronics being what they are, do succumb to stress and fail. Wouldn't it be great if companies always give their best in service?
