hmm..i have a Canon Powershot A70, 3.2 mp. the reason i got that particular model is 2 reasons 1) by accident 2) got attracted to the features after examing it. anyway, you can take off a cover near the lens, attach and adapter and you can put, macro, micro and wide angle lenses as add ons. question is, hmm...you guys and girls know where i can get a good deal? i was quoted for the 3 lenses and the adapter for around 7K, but that's from a Canon dealer. i haven't been to quiapo yet, they might not be familiar with digicams (or i might've underestimated them) and i might end up buying the wrong adapter or lens. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

best thing is to buy it from the dealer, that's what i always do (for cameras).

i think 7K is a good price for three lenses and an adaptor. for filters, you can try island photo at gamboa st. in makati. I got my polarizing filter from them.... it cost me 1k for the filter.

i would also recommend getting a UV filter (to protect your lens) and a lens cap so you can leave the adaptor permanently attached to your camera.

Some of them are authorized Canon dealers too. You can try Avenue photo, henry's and Mayer photo. some of them also regularly participate in the annual Photoworld iin Makati. All these shops are just beside each other so it won't take be hard for you to ask around. And just like in buyin bike parts, it is best to ask around for the best prices and deals.

thanks for the tip guys looks like i'm getting bike and camera accesories when i go to quiapo next time. i'm kinda wary with dealers in malls, i'm thinking they might be pricing stuff too much.

whoa...really? my powershot A70 was fixed for free. it's already out of warranty. it's a factory defect according to canon website. if i remember correctly the wiring inside has a problem. 6k? hmm..... in the case of my camera, if i take a picture and view it, it's still black. which meant that the lens has a problem, not the LCD itself. if the LCD would not display completely...must be a big problem is there any canon distributor in tacloban who might be able to help you brad?

probably it's in the wire or something...coz when i set it to picture mode those red lines start appearing. even if i turn of the LCD i try using the viewfinder still i cant take pictures or there are redlines. here in tacloban there are no canon distributors. sony only.... i miss my cam
