KANGKONG: lucky you! i want to snorkel in the jelly fish lake! have you tried the liveaboards? haven't been to palau, ang mahal e! but they say the best dive sites are accessible by liveaboard boats lang, the sites from shore aren't as good daw. true? FAFALEN: i got certified in 2002 and no one used dive tables anymore even then eheheh. they taught us how to use one though, and recommended that we plan our dives using BOTH the table and computers (in case the computer conks out), but people are lazy when they have a computer. PADI has more aggressive marketing so there are more PADI divers now, but the NAUI divers i hear are better trained (and they're proud of the fact). if i took NAUI i probably won't pass ;D did they make you do the famous "NAUI jump"? i heard 2 versions of this: you take off all your gear (tank included ba?), clutch them all against your body, jump off the boat, and then put them on one by one while you sink. the other version is you ditch your gear underwater then swim up, dive back down, and put them back on? see, i couldn't do either of that even now ;p

I was certified by PDIC...coz its straigthforward : cheaper and well-rounded lessons + the dude who certified me looked like he could haul my a$$ if things got hairy down below Logged just about 30 dives mostly at Anilao, Puntafuego, Bicol and Apo Island Reef Unlike diving , touching your head after a spill in DH is a bad sign heheh fyi: frogfoot Jason Gillo and seacid Boy Siojo are two of the best divers who belong to P M T B Boy S. of Balai fame and Jason G. of Anapolis

( he said it ws 12ft but no said my aqualand Then we had to dive down , and put them on It was easy fr me, coz I sink like an anchor

ARNEL, i'm confused, does Boy also co-own planet dive in anilao?
FAFALEN, you're a much more confident swimmer than me, i couldn't do that, i'd panic and drown ;D
i was mad about diving once. i've logged i think 300 dives in the 3 years that i was into it. sulit na sulit ang gear!
i'd dive every weekend, even weekedays if my instructor was going. he used to tell me, i'd dive water in a palanggana if someone put corals in it. he was right too. i've dived i think all of the popular dive sites in luzon and visayas: anilao, nasugbu, galera, subic, coron, tubbataha, apo reef, camarines sur, southern leyte, malapascua, mactan, moalboal, panglao, balicasag, pamilacan, siquijor, apo island, dumaguete. i'd even go on dive trips by myself--i'd just walk into a dive resort and hook up with other divers or go alone with a dive master. i was kaladkarin, never refused an invitation to go diving. i'd return to the same province several times if it was a favorite. heck, i'd dive the exact same site three times a day; it's never the same 3 minutes later, the current would change, the animals would move, the corals would start spewing gonads.
i liked drifting, just letting the current take me wherever. if i didn't have to keep up with a group, i'd stay in one spot, just watching. i could watch shrimp for an hour.
i was so in love with marine life i actually started taking graduate studies in marine science. i lasted a semester heheh. but dr. gonzales gave me a 1.0, FAFALEN! ;D
i stopped diving when i got into biking.

FAFALEN, yes UP Diliman MSI. it's an unfinished business, maybe i'll go back and see it through one day i initially stopped diving because you need a whole weekend for diving (layo ng anilao for a daytrip), there's no time left for biking. then i realized quickly how cheap biking is compared to diving. man, i could make pasyal with only sari-sari store money in my pocket--why haven't i done this before! then i moved out of the city, mas lalo lumayo ang anilao, but i got closer to the mountains naman. so biking took over. TOLITS, my friend just took her mask to an optical shop and they glued graded lens on it. ARNEL, i haven't been to Balai. i like Planet Dive though, ganda ng homes nina Boy dyan. it would be nice to do an Anilao trip one day, dive a few and hang out lang sa beach. i'm not qualified to guide, my sense of direction underwater is awful (i had to repeat my Underwater Navigation exercise over and over) but if Boy is free, he can be our dive master the reef right in front of Planet Dive (Twin Rocks) is lovely enough even just to snorkel.

Lets bike somewhere near a dive resort ...so bike then dive then bike then dive then bike warning : due to pain-tolerance levels or sinus issues Im lousy at equalizing thus I fishfeed so dont worry if I swim out from the group every now and then near the surface heheh

Like Jon and his froggies...Im pathetic I know ;D ;D My buddy frogfeet was supposed to fix my problem with some equalizing exercises but the dude left for an assignment na heheh so I guess I ll fishfeed post-dives na lang ;D...I detach from the group and swim 20 ft away and "thar he blows!" Roche , I thought women like it when men show weakness and need to be taken cared of ? heheh Sandra Bullock stereo type

Roche , I thought women like it when men show weakness and need to be taken cared of ? heheh ARNEL, i thought it's the other way around, that men like helpless damsels in distress? ;D oh but let's not go there ;D back to topic, may kilala ako na may problem sa equalization, he takes Neozep before a dive, supposedly it unclogs his sinus. yun nga lang, i think may narcotic side effect ang Neozep.

i've been told that some of the best dive sites in the philippines are in jolo, sulu. in fact, you can dive at the pier there and you'd already be amazed at the quality of the sealife they have. problem is going there. i've dived in sta. cruz island in zamboanga city and it's such a sorry site. nothing but dead corals from 30 feet to 80 feet. but the best site i've been to is in saranggani province. shore dive lang but 50 feet from the shore is a wall that goes down to 600 feet (sabi lang sa akin ;D)
