I'm thinking about getting a Gerber Diesel, do you know where I can get one? Hahn in Park Square seems to have low inventory of Gerber knives when I last checked. Or maybe they're still putting orders

i don't know if it is gurkha or gukrah knife, where can I buy one?
based on the pictures on a mountaineering book, it looks a curved bolo with a wide blunt back. would love to have it to cut bamboo in our backyard.
btw, how do you sharpen a knife? tnx!

i found this link for sharpening knives. gpvec.unl.edu/filesdatabase/files/feedlot/sharp1.htmkukri....i think i saw one in Makati Cinema Square, use the amorsolo entrance but not the KFC side. enter, then go up the stairs. it's on your right side before you reach jollibee. they sell different kinds of knives and swords. but a kukri is heavy, compared to the curved blades we have locally.

I want a knife set like the one they sell in home TV shopping. The one they use to cut cans with. I'll get that and start running around the house while holding it. Hehe.

Hehe. hey, DONT buy them! they are not as reliable as you think they are! they are sharp, really sharp as all new knives do... but wait a few uses and it looses all quality endevors it showed in the commercial advertisements... if you do really love to buy kitchen knives, i would personally recommend you to buy WUSTHOF or ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS. i'm using the later and im really satisfied with them if you cook regularly. Here's the catch... quite expensive... cook's knife 7 inches goes for 2k++ upto 5k but it will be worth the investment i guarantee you...

donfacundo, nice the prestige, right. Weight is solid. Thank God for SM for bringing the brands that used to be so expensive. The wusthoff i'm keeping under lock and key since a house guest used the chef's knife for cracking ice!!! and at the same time, placed a full dutch oven on my elba glass top, kainis!
